And what a gift Laughlin gave to all of us readers of poetry. For me, so many of those black and white volumes -- and the poets published between their paperboard -- provided me with a remarkable "Ezu-cation." When it came time for my first book of poems, FALLOW FIELD, to be published -- alas, not by New Directions -- I insisted the publisher use a design that would evoke and pay homage to those ND books where I found such inspiration.

Re: The American Scholar: Help Us Write a Sonnet: Line Thirteen - David Lehman

I enter, check the score.

Re: Recipe: Vegan Haggis with Bashed Neeps and Tatties

Made this last night for Burns Night with a vegan guest. I appreciate having your explanation in the comments section here. You can see why it wouldn't work on TV, though.
I believe I did explain a bit more about it than the wind-up toy and that flywheels are more efficient storage technologies than batteries, at least in terms of ramping up (or amping up) quickly.
I wanted to give the sense that this tech is not some far-out pipedream, but rather ubiquitous and real. Not much more you can do in a short segment.

Re: The Green Skeptic™: The Coming Disruption: Lead It or Lose It

Thank you for your comment.
