That's quite neat! The top of head sort of looks like a siopao, but I guess that won't work on top of a cake, no? Hahaha! Good choice of giving Sackboy wearing the Ezio outfit as the reference. Works really well on a cake. :D

Loving the minimalistic look as well. Reminds me of the Animus loading scenes where Ezio could just run around the clear white area.

I don't think you hear "plating" much in regular conversations but I guess it's common when you watch shows or read stuff on cooking. Hahaha!

Either way, plating is basically putting food on the plate. This includes the plate used, where it's placed, garnish, etc. :P

Yup, love the game! Kinda freaky shit.
It's based on a book that was also made into a movie in Japan (watched it, cuz I loved the game. hehehe).
The end boss + end sequence is a pain in the ass though...

You don't like curry of ALL cuisines or just specific ones? For me, Thai curry can be a bit too hot at times, but Japanese curry hits the spot. Whoo, karē udon! <3

I don't have a regular appetite, but my sisters do. They each got 5 small chicken strips, too. Extremely disappointing when they were excited to try it out.

I find their congee (with additional century egg) to be quite satisfactory. For a fast food chain, yeah, their food is good.

Yeah, I think that's the Singapore Laksa. I don't think it's the Curry Seafood Laksa since you didn't put a paste in the picture (at least I think they have a paste with their serving).

I want to try their tom yum, but I'm not sure if I'll like it. I tried a tom yum at a fast food in Singapore and didn't like it. Maybe I tasted bad tom yum or maybe Secret Recipe's is better, I don't know.

I'm still at 50-50 whether I should try it or not...

My sisters seems to have gotten smaller servings that what you got. They said they would have probably been better off eating at another fast food chain. I don't think regular appetites would be satisfied. x.x

The servings at Chowking seems smaller than normal relative to other fast food chains. I had the beef wanton noodle and a sweet and sour pork dish but was unsatisfied. It was like I hadn't eaten AT ALL. I ended up getting a Regular Yum with Cheese and a Palabok Fiesta at Jollibee to complete my meal.

Normally, I'm good with a 2-pc. ChickenJoy and a Palabok Fiesta...

For me, it seems you can't really go wrong with the LJC group. They seem quite similar to each other but I like Abe. There's one in Serendra, Trinoma (not exactly sure how to say where it is, the layout is frakking weird). I'm not sure if there's one in Greenbelt 5, but I'm sure Lorenzo's Way is at the first level of GB5. Fely J's is inside GB5...third floor I think.

Mesa is right beside (or at least close to) Lorenzo's Way at Greenbelt 5. There's also one in SM Megamall (Atrium, not sure what level), right beside H.K. Choi*.

*Don't eat at HK Choi. Seriously. It's relatively cheap but totally unsatisfying.

Hmm...maybe they wait for the other dishes to finish cooking before serving (making the food cold). This doesn't mean the food is supposed to be cold though. If this is true, they're supposed to know what dishes to cook first and when in order to keep the food hot.

I haven't tried Dencio's in a while. For my fix of Filipino food, I go to Mesa or restaurants under the LJC Group (Abe, Lorenzo's Way, Fely J)...

I think he associates more with children, and find adults boring as hell. I don't know whether he's really a pedophile or not but given what I've read, he is. That's his nature.

There's no philosophy in Alice, just math. If I read it right, the original stories he told the real Alice didn't involve math at all. He just put them in, used his knowledge of maths to create his universe.

Whether intended or not, that's what's interesting about literature. You can take one story but mean differently to others, or yourself in a different time in your life. Too much though could be something like the mysticism around the Fibonacci sequence.

I saw one YouTube video before showing the "other" meaning of Toy Story (not true, but quite convincing): Woody is a man's penis but "Andy" gets tired of it and prefers the battery-operated Buzz ....

I don't know what was wrong with Percy Jackson: the story itself or how it was brought to the big screen. I haven't read the book, so I wouldn't know.

What I really found weird with the movie was that they seemed to completely forget their quest of finding the lightning thief and instead, went off to save his mom.

Then suddenly, OH! here's the bolt! And their "friend" is the lightning thief!

Whether it's deus ex machina, serendipity or something else, it just doesn't make sense.

Totally agree with you. Waste of time. Good on you for not watching New Moon. It was boring as hell, as if it were one episode of a TV drama about a girl that just won't quit moping.

One little thing that bugged me in Alice In Wonderland was that I wasn't sure if I was supposed to understand something they said or if it were some sort of gibberish or jargon.

Where the Wild Things Are should have been a short film instead of a feature-length one. You should be ready to fast-forward through scenes.

Oddly in our municipal hall, there were only about 4 people registering and we were done in no time. Well, I guess it was still relatively early, and would explain the rush later on.

We really need discipline. If we can't get a good literacy rate, we should at least be disciplined...

Just a head's up: "newb" vs "n00b". n00bs just suck at a game, end of story. newbs / newbies are just getting started ("new") and do want to get better at it. :D

Prince of Persia is relatively easy to pick up and play. It's also quite forgiving that you never see a "game over" screen. When you get the hang if the game, It's exhilarating to be able to move from one area to another so fluidly.

The battles may seem daunting at first but it's basically pressing the right button given certain visual cues...kind of like a rhythm game. Hahaha! You should definitely try it.
