The thing that I admire Steve Jobs is that he don't bow down to pressure. He has made sure that iPhone remains priced highly without affecting their profit margins. It seems that the ones suffering are the Telcos who were forced to absorb the high cost as subscribers took home the iPhone with nothing down but are tied to a 3 year Mobile and 3G subscription. Smart move from Apple.

In this current economic turmoil, any company that can rake in a profit without laying off staffs would already be a great achievements. I've heard that Apple would be having hiring freeze and not increasing salaries anytime soon. It's better than to start laying off people.

My favorite is Japanese Curry with Pork Cutlet. It's amazing how the Japanese turned 'curry' a product dominated by the Indians into Japanese curry into something that is flavorful yet unique in it's own taste. More importantly, the Japanese curry has stormed into almost every country in the world.

I don't want to sound crude being a software engineer. These days, you don't even need to have a degree if you're looking for PHP development jobs. For .Net related jobs, a lot of people recognizes a MCAD rather than a degree in Computer Science. I got a hard time competing with the Indian Programmers.

1. Create Your Unique Selling Propositions (At Least 3-5)
- What makes your business unique. Why should people buy from you. How do you differentiate with your competitors.

2. Positioning
- How do you want people to see you. No.1, No.2 or just a Me Too Company?

3. Who Are Your Customers
- Clearly define your customer demographics.

4. Where Are Your Customers
Need to know where to get them.

5. Who Has Got Your Customers
Try to work with Alumnis, Trade Associations before you're big enough to work with the Credit Card companies with tons of database.

A lot of people don't realized that in FaceBook or MySpace, we're at the mercy of the platform vendors. All our particulars are in there and they could easily manipulate the data. If not, how do you explain getting tons of unsolicited calls from companies. I've got 100+ Facebook alerts on my email account. It's getting scary.

ActiveWorld's 3D chats are really fascinating but I would think that with companies worldwide having financial problems, they would rather save their resources on that. Google has just release Google Video Chat that is set to take the whole world by storm. It's still just in Beta but already many people have jumped into it and given rave reviews.
