If you can believe everything one reads on the net - they actually had some lay-offs in the sales area. It could be a hard sell. Wonder if they use the LIFO layoff process?

Why is it that we measure layoffs in terms of what it means to the economic bottom line, but no one talks about the socio costs to the employees?

Reading over this post, it becomes apparent that the management team may not have properly recognized the needs of the their employees.

A question arises are the investors setting unrealistic returns on their investment?

The facelift is a good one as it offers less choices to the site visitor, but drives them to the information they came to the site for. They are using the rule of 7's.

Internet users scan, they don't read, so why not cut down on the verbage and give the site visitor right up front what they are looking for?

Why is it that we encourage people to "think outside the box"? Then when someone thinks outside the box we consider them crack pots. It seems like rather circular logic.

We all think bigger is better and with bigger comes certain efficiencies and improved service. Have we seen this with certain companies becoming larger and less concern for the consumer?

Third party candidates seem to rise during the presidential elections, but where are they during other elections? If they were to devote their efforts during the off year elections (those occuring between the big elections) then they may build a constituency.

Ralph Nader effected a number of positive changes for consumers, but when he ran as a third party candidate, it was like he allowed people with very views almost 180 degrees from his to walk into office, thereby, undoing most of his lifetime of work - basically he cut off his nose to spite his face.

Seems like this site was launched sometime ago. Comparison of some neighborhoods would be quite different, especially when looking at a location in a subtropical environment versus a neighborhood in the Northeastern US.

Does the location make the difference or logic with which it has been programmed?

After all isn't an appraisal more art than science, due to the evaluation of the variables?

I have limited experience with Zillow, but realize, even if you use three different appraisers to appraise a property you will have three different opinions regarding the value of the property. I think the deviation can be about 10 percent from the low to the high.

It is a good free tool as you stated if used with a limited number of pages. But for larger documents the price is $1.99 for a maximum of 15 pages, so it definitely can be useful if you are not near your fax machine.

I don't use them - but for those agents that list upscale homes that cost would be well worth it considering what I have seen on the MLS.
