Dash hasn't even funded the Venezuela help desk for 2 months in a row. No ground teams outside of the parking lot folks in a small Venezuelan city. Literally nothing happening in any other Latam country. The Portuguese-speaking YouTuber lives in the US, not Brazil.

My reading of the DAO remains true. Your narrative does not change the outcome of the votes and remains a minority point of view. The ecosystem has shifted to focus on the DIF venture capital fund and dapps which might optimistically be here in 2021.

Interesting analysis, thanks Dash News.

We are so early on this, and yet so far ahead of any other cryptocurrency that aspires to be used for payments. The data is interesting but ultimately I'm not sure what use it has beyond that.

Here in Latin America, my organization, Dash Latam, which includes Dash Colombia, is focused on getting real use up across the board from Peru to Venezuela and beyond, including via remittances. So it's good to see the data confirm that we are responsible for 86.9% of evidenced active merchants.

Lots of road ahead!

Kudos to Ash and Alex for their excellent work on the Dash Retail project. As the proposal owner for Dash Retail during the time all of this work happened, and as co-founder of Dash Retail, I am very happy to see more people discover how Dash Retail can accelerate Dash mass adoption by professionalizing Dash acceptance in a bulletproof way that is non-custodial. Dash Retail is borne from Dash Latam's adoption efforts in Colombia, Venezuela and Peru, and makes my best practices available to other teams in software. Onward and upward!

A minor if unfortunate hiccup. The Dash bench is deep when it comes to mass adoption work, work no other coin is undertaking at the same scale. This is a cleansing, Dash will come out stronger on the other side.

I think this is fine. The prices are still very reasonable. As a paying customer I want quality. Without being able to provide quality, MailerLite is dead. If you want quality, make your business produce some income so you can pay MailerLite. <shrug>

I would say that under a democratic model, you have popular people trying to force their ideas on the rest of us in a winner-takes-all scenario, whereas in the free market model, everyone, be they considered experts or amateurs, can compete freely and the users can vote with their dollars/usage on which one works best for each individual, in a multicentric fashion, where many players can thrive by serving everyone, even those with wildly contrasting preferences.

Before the recent market decline, Dash was #14 on CMC. Today, Dash is #14 on CMC.

Today, BCH is up 1.37%. Today, Dash is up 3.47%.

Even in the middle of this downturn, Dash has a treasury (10% of block rewards) that self-replenishes every month with 6,176 dash, currently worth nearly $1 million per month. What other crypto can say that?

Dash now has 2,500 merchants across the globe, nearly half in Latin America, where the use of Dash is growing rapidly. What other crypto can say that?

The proposal you refer to is an 88.4% positive vote of confidence in Dash Core's CEO. With what other crypto can you even hold such a binding vote??

Dash is killing it with InstantSend (5 confirms in 1.3 seconds), our governance, inexpensive and instant transactions, and our growing community where voice is encouraged over exit.

This is pure FUD. Dash is trending up in the middle of a down market.

Guys, let's not start slitting each other's throats quite yet.

I expect to get to Dash-denominated prices down the road. For now, everything is denominated in pesos (COP) and we educate the merchants about the volatility risk. We also offer them a BitPay-like service to trade their dash for pesos same day as they receive it. Some choose tho to hold their Dash in the hopes it will increase in value.
