Hahaha. These are intense.
Man, those bees freak me out. I can't stand our lame small bees. I would have probably left Japan if I had seen one of those.
The shower thing is funny! I normally shower in the morning, and my host family thought it was strange. I decided to just shower at night cause I didn't want to slow anyone down in the morning. I just thought there reaction when I said "No I'll shower in the morning" was funny. They were basically like "huh? why?" But it makes sense. If it weren't for high water bills I'd shower both morning and night. Night to clean, morning to just wake up.
The funniest Japanese commercial I saw in Japan was a whole 2 seconds. It was just a man and a woman in a suit and they both yelled something and words appeared. It was completely serious and reminded me of some type of law office type commercial. I had no clue but I just laughed. Just random...

Happy 2nd Birthday Tofugu!
I found my thank you card the other day when cleaning and moving tons of furniture.
I really should study... again... haha. I almost registered for a summer class but time with work and stuff gets in the way. Life's busy.
Thanks for the good posts! Sadly, I'm not a top commenter anymore, but thanks to RSS (which I didn't know about till Tofugu, ha) I keep up.

I got a letter from them today and i'm trying to write back something awesome and maybe send some pictures and video.
I liked this! It sucks that you're snowed in.
Texas has "lovely" 70 degree weather for Christmas.
Except, I wish it were colder.

For some reason I keep reading "ado" and feel like pronouncing "あど" and I feel that it should be spelled "aduw". Ugh, schwas annoy me, either that or vocal diction is getting to me, and I haven't even taken the course yet. Gotta start learning that IPA...

Unless they let me teach music in Japan, not likely.
I actually met someone who was part of the JET program at one point, but is now just an English teacher in the high school I went to while I was there. We didn't really go into deep discussion about it. It does sound like a pretty cool program though.
Maybe teach in Japan one day, but through other methods.

I think it's "without further ado". "Ado" is like fuss or mess. "Adieu" is farewell.

Chicken Fillet thing is good.
Didn't try a mega mac thing... I was going to but didn't.
Shaka Shaka chicken is the way to go.
Fanta is awesome! I accidentally bought some weird gummy fanta in a convenience store thinking it was just the drink. It was still good though. It was like, jello in a can.
I don't really like getting coffee, cause I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but I bought one of the iced coffee drinks there, thinking it was all mixed already, but it was black and I got barely any sugar or "gum syrup?".

That was hilarious and disturbing and educational and [insert what you want here] all at the same time. I also listen to the whole song sometimes. I honestly can't stand yet like that song.
I almost bought Genki in Japan but it was like 30,000 ¥ that I needed later. Japanese malls are huge.... or at least very high, hahaha.
When's the Rosetta Stone article coming? It's not that great in my opinion, but it can at least add some vocab and practice, but in actually learning details for language and to form your own speech, i don't think so. Then again, I haven't used it to its full potential.
