Rhetoric is rhetoric. In your opinion. You make broad generalizations that might have truth but are not by your simple statement made true. This is your blog and you have every right to say what you want. I just want to point out this is your opinion. Not fact your opinion.

"They say she's as qualified as Obama, but that's wrong." In your opinion. You may be right but maybe not.

"Republican women are pro-choice. Americans are pro-choice. A woman candidate who is pro-life, no matter how attractive, doesn't have much appeal in this country," Again this is not fact this is simply your opinion.

You are entitled to your opinion as each citizen. What is it they say about opinions?

We all have them and they stink. Sorry but this is drivel and in my opinion this stinks.

Re: FriendFeed on My Blog

It worked great Thanks.

Re: Are You Stream, Digest or Something Else?

First, thanks for the mention. Excellent post. :)

Second, its always very interesting to see how you are perceived by your peers. I would mostly agree with your assessment of my FriendFeed style. I would agree and place myself in the Digest box most of the time. But, you are correct that I do write from the historian point of view. Perhaps I need to be a little crankier and trend toward pundit.

Re: The HTML Fieldset

I do not know for sure but I bet it has something to do with Google Reader's
CSS or how Feedburner creates my feed. Perhaps the FF devs will help with this in the future.

I suggest some way of linking to the original posting by the author. All the re-shares would point (link) at the original.

Hutch Carpenter suggested the Link centric versus Person centric approaches way back in April. http://bhc3.wordpress.com/2008/04/24/proposal-t...

Re: Down with FriendFeed Etiquette

Shey, thanks for the comment. I love Tab Mix Plus and force everything to a new tab. The open in a new window does not bother me in the least. I also use Colorful Tabs addon to help distinguish one tab from the next.

BTW I also middle click all links which goes to a new tab.

Re: Write When and What You Want To: The Rest Is Bologna

Let's start again. David, your two points were that:

1- Luck, does not play as big of a part as I stated.

2- Posting timely can help.

I agree with Ben in part. You did kind of miss the point. When you try all the blogging gimicks out there its easy to lose sight of why you are blogging in the first place. My point is that what you can control is blogging not for SEO but because you want to. You can also control the quality of the content you put out.

Which leads me back to the luck part. It is not easy to predict which content will be successful and which content will not. Certainly there are factors involved that increase your chances but then you risk losing perspective. Are you really adding that much content value to the blogosphere if you are just posting to be successful. I do not think content should be geared solely around SEO.

My point was and still is write good content about what you want when you want and the audience will arrive.

The rest as I said is just bologna.
