So very appropriate to present parody ideas for the parody 'congressman' from the 5th District, or as we in Iowa call it, "crazy-land".

Re: Susan Tully of FAIR brings up and misconstrues Iowa Independent article on Jan Mickelson Show

Or, perhaps, they could point out that people wouldn't come here illegally if there were no incentive for them to do so. The incentive, in many of these cases, is not some abstract concept as 'freedom', but something as simple as economic benefit. Were these irresponsible businesses to conduct themselves ethically and legally, the illegals would have no chance at economic gain and thus have no incentive to be here, illegally or otherwise. They've created an attractive nuisance and are therefore the cause of the problems.

TLB could try doing some real thinking for a change instead of spouting talking points and engaging in ad hominem attacks.

Wow, some people's kids...

Re: Iowa Republicans oppose AIDS funding in Congress

Ad hominems from the Nutter Zone again, I see.

Some of us like to know the back story. There doesn't seem to be a 'rule' requiring reporting on the final vote only (at least I didn't see it in The Associated Press Stylebook and Briefing on Media Law...I didn't check Chicago). Perhaps you imagined it, or maybe the meds haven't kicked in yet.

It could be that a bunch of repubs really tried hard to stop this thing, and when they failed they also capitulated for political cover. Yep, they voted against it before they voted for it. They reason like Kerry because they're in the same biz and that's how the game is played. Your ilk will claim in the end that they voted for it in some circles, but to their like-minded base they'll claim they really tried hard to stop it. Chase just called 'em on it. It only seems bad to you because this time your methodology was used against you. Sorry 'bout that...not.

Oh, and Watch - you're a douche.

Wow, some people's kids...

Re: King controlling GOP debate on slavery apology

and...?

(actually, I was wondering how he fucked it up this time...King would be amusing if I didn't actually live in Iowa)

Re: King declines Sioux City Journal forum

"Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain", added King.

Wow, some people's kids...

Re: Greens May Run In 2nd CD

Run, Ralph, er......Wendy, Run!

btw, Miller-Meeks says thanks for supporting her candidacy and plans to send the 2nd District back to the stone age (<10K years ago, according to their base).

Wow, some people's kids...

Re: Obama: Full seating for Florida and Michigan at Dem Convention

Margaret,

Regarding your medication, you need to either cut it in half, or double it.
