the dude is my friend Dan. We used to collaborate when I was at SFAI. The first time I saw this for about 6 minutes I thought it was real and so sad.

indeed it does steve... well, the first question anyway.
i do think it's a great idea - but i do wonder how lasting an effect
it will have. of course most artists would love the chance to get
exposure for their work - many others take the context that their work
is presented in as an integral part of the work, and some would find
this idea appalling.
still - it's a bit like stumble-upon in a way. maybe i'll fall over
some great artists that i may never have otherwise had the chance to
find.
and, about the curating... great that it's open. i expect that in the
future you'll have a quick function to switch to a new curated set if
the user is absolutely hating the art they see. particularly if you
get a big response from people wanting to curate.
congrats on getting it up.
