in A CV tip on Life is grand
I think a lot of people do this (I see it here also) because in this day and age you just don't know if a real person will see your CV or not and it's generally good to have keywords in the CV that non-techy recruiters/hr people would look for.

Does get a bit annoying though.

in Zune Zune Zune on Life is grand
Hey P,
Hope RailsConf is going well. Now, onto Zune. You know my opinion about music players... I don't need one.. I don't listen to all that much music these days and I thik I would only get one for podcasts. Also, I don't see myself as biased in this "arena" even though I just joined MS.... so, I just wanted to point to my comment on Tom Raferty's blog here: http://www.tomrafteryit.net/zune-where-are-the-... ... if there are many people out there like my sister then Zune just might do well. Who knows.

P.S. not sure when you are back in the deise but be in the 3 shippes around 9:30 on Sat night if you can make it!!!!

in Functions as arguements on Life is grand
You can do that is C++ using function pointers and it's the same as Delegates in C#... you can pass a function into a function as a paramater and it can then call it etc.

I think Java has something similar.

We normally say a carton of OJ over here Paul!

tsch!.. I thought we beat you into a Hiberno-English speaking semi-Irish man by now. Obviously our beating sticks are not big enough.

Thinkpads are amazing laptops. Paul (the other Paul) has one (intel use all thinkpads) and it's brilliant. The build quailty is great (he's bounced it off everything you can think off and it's still going strong).

in And C# replies on Life is grand
Yeah. They Ruby looks nicer and is easier to read/understand. C# 3 should fix that though :-)

Best of look with the new blog. I wonder how this will affect your technorati rating.
