Thanks! I was 'least creative' when unmedicated. I do have to thank the meds for opening up that little corner of my brain. Interesting to think about -- I can't draw or think in lines, but dots make sense.

Thanks, Donna! The good side of all of this is that he's at least relieved to know that his mom knows he's not doing anything 'naughty', which was making him angry -- he felt like we were making judgements without facts.

tw, it is absolutely the "do as I say not as I do" point. Except that I do have the sense to interact with other humans face to face, which is the part he's forgetting. ;-)

Remember the days of "pushed content"? That was what I thought of immediately when I was first introduced to aggregators.

Compuserve did a much more elegant job of this 10 years ago...LOL.

Technorati updated their software tonight to limit searches to language-specific results and top lists of blogs. Maybe there's hope. ;-)

This anonymous blogging thing always bites me when I read posts like this...I make my 13 year-old blog under a pseudonym for her protection, and I blog under a pseudonym because I blog about my son's ADHD and don't want that coming back to bite him 10 years from now when someone does a Net search on him for a job or the like.

I think it's unfair to exclude anonymous bloggers completely if they have a pathway to private communication. I provide contact info and forms on the blog which come directly to my email -- anyone who wants to know who I am can discover it that way.

Lately this issue has been mentioned often enough that I'm considering a change, particularly after I was involuntarily outed by Aboutus.org. Maybe it's time, I don't know.

You should give seminars to teachers on how to teach technologies effectively. I spent most of th third trimester of my daughter's school year last year banging my head on a wall.

Her "technology class" was a 3-month exercise in looking up definitions on the Internet and handwriting them in a notebook. This for a girl who has her own blog, excellent digital camera, Flickr account and manages three groups on Flickr quite nicely.
