Maybe that's why they are so against abortion - it limits the availability of children for later abuse...

Many of the Somalian "pirates" were motivated by rich countries' dumping toxic waste, including nuclear, in their coastal waters. Many were fisherman who lost their livelihoods when the fish were killed in the toxic stew. Not to mention the effects upon their families who lived along the shores upon which the mess washed up. Maybe you should educate yourself a little more before you speak.

Bush was the President when 9/11 happened on his watch after his administration had been warned of imminent attack. It is pathetic that Americans think they own the tragedy of such misguided "terrorism". Northern Ireland, Israel, England, Greece, well, almost every other country in the world has been suffering violent attacks on civilians by violent extremists for, well, forever. We need to get over ourselves and join the world community to bring about positive changes and eliminate terrorism at its roots: poverty, ignorance and superstition.

There was not even enough evidence to charge the ones who were released after years of illegal detention. I bet if your son or brother or wife or friend was arrested for suspicion of a crime, held without bail, mistreated or tortured, never charged - you would be the first one out on the streets screaming bloody murder. Nobody is talking about releasing jihadists - they are talking about compiling the evidence, charging with a crime, giving them trials and incarcerating them if convicted. Knowing someone killed on 9/11 does not give any American the right to ignore our Constitution and both national and international law.

As usual, a right winger who cannot think of a coherent argument or defense, resorts to name calling and nasty innuendo. I'll bet you fly the flag, too, the one that stands for freedom, justice, truth and free speech. Big on symbols, short on integrity.

We have federal prisons here in the US which are more than capable of holding onto the "maggots" forever if need be. However, this is still the United States where we stand for freedom, justice and truth. These "maggots" are human beings, perhaps evil, perhaps not, and one of them was a child when sent to Gitmo. Each and every one of them deserves to be charged with a crime and charged with a fair trial. I feel sorry for you, sir, talking about us folks on the left. It is you folks on the right that have almost succeeded in destroying our country - our prosperity and everything we stand for - not the "terrorists", not the "liberals", not the "maggots" who brought down the towers. You, sir, and your cohorts are to blame for what has happened the past 8 years and we, sir, are the ones you have to clean up your mess.

You are obviously a true American patriot and deeply understand the intellectual and rational stance all voters must take before deciding on the next President. I intend to copy your comment and send to everyone on my email list and I suggest that anyone reading this do the same. We must take back our country for the sake of our children and grandchildren. I am a "baby boomer" and my father was a WWII veteran, member of "the Greatest Generation." This is our generation's chance to hold true to our parents' dreams and save the great country that they sacrificed, fought and died for. It is our turn to work hard, make sacrifices and bring ALL Americans together again. OBAMA/BIDEN 2008!
