I think you both really want to be in New York City because you lived there before and you reaally loved it. The only drawback to New York City that I see to is that it is so expensive that the baby might not be able to have it's own room. I also love Manhattan and I would come to visit you.
If Manhattan doesn't work out, I think you should look for a community where you can walk or have access to public transportation within a short distance if this is important to you.
Look at all your options. When you see the perfect place that has everything that you and Greta want you will know it. Good luck.
Love,
Eleni

Re: Brooklyn vs. Stamford

Chris,
With a child I would recommend moving somewhere where you can save some money. Kids are expensive and you won't always have control over expenses. For example they he may get sick or Greta may decide she wants to work and daycare is expensive. You want to keep your options open.
Also I like that the place in Stamford has a washer and dryer in the unit. Babies create a lot of laundry and having to go to a laundromat is never fun.
Maybe you will have better luck in Brooklyn. Good luck today. When you find the right place for both of you and my future nephew you will know.
Love,
Eleni

Re: Some Jerk-Off With My Name Is Blogging!

Chris,
I am so sorry that you had such a terrible childhood. I am so happy to have been named Eleni, a unique Greek name. I think you should name your son Dmitri Emmanuel Michael Herbert so no one will have his same name. Our parents didn't think about google ability because google didn't exist in 1978. Things could be worse. You could be named Apple.
Eleni

Re: I realized today that I’m a hot stud

Did the "hot stud" come home and cook a birthday dinner for Greta? Will you continue to assist with the shopping or is this just a yearly event?

Re: For the first time…FEAR

Chris,
It is normal to be anxious with any change but I know you will be a great Dad.
Eleni

Re: Tips On Remembering Names?

When you first meet someone say their name in your head ten times. You can also use memory tricks. For example we to remember the spelling of a guest named Jolo Hsia, my manager came up with high-speed internet access.

Re: Vanity Plates Should Be Called Idiot Plates

The Eleni vanity plate hanging in my bedroom is the best. I believe Mom and Dad originally had this on one their cars shortly after I was born. I disagree that all vanity plates should be called idiot plates. I think it depends what it wriiten on them. You may be so moved by your first child that you end up with a vanity plate with their name. Only time will tell.

Re: Vanity Plates Should Be Called Idiot Plates

I meant to type:
I think it depends what is written on them.
Time for bed.

Re: Radio Silence

I like the name Dmitri Michael.

Re: I Need A Charity….Quick!

I think you should give your money to the Milford Rape Crisis Center or the Make a Wish Foundation of Connecticut.
Both are great organizations.
