in it’s art on Pith and Vinegar
mighti point out that its normall you who give me the best ideas for all my art... whether you realize or not, you're a dam fine artist - its just that your chosen modem of expression is with the written word & your gallery is "t'internet" (as they say in Cornwall...) here, for once and forever, is the definition of art (for all those that care)
'Art is the thing that challenges our perceptual habits"
(on a related topic, Craft is the thing that reinforces our perceptual habits... this is NOT to create a hierarchy or say one is better than the other, no, only that they do different things...further proving, art and craft is all about context. thus spaketh the little brother. thank you. carry on.)

in screw you, pants on Pith and Vinegar
I ADORE the idea of being an uncle (in fact, I just won the "best uncle" medal from my partner's 6 year old... much to my partner's distaste...he kept muttering "but they're MY nephews!") - I only wish I wasn't so far away!!!!! as for the pants... well... I can only assume we're talking about north america pants (ie, trousers) and not european pants (ie, underwear) .... perhaps I should re-read that entry for clarification!

in comma blind on Pith and Vinegar
as someone who has little 'clever' and FAR too many grammatical errors in my past (so much so, I used to confuse my "grammar" and my "grandma" - to hilarious results!) I consider myself both told-off, and thoroughly confused: I don't drink coffee in the morning either - does my cup of tea count? And should that have a serial comma in it too? or is it ok to have it just with milk?
or don't I count as one of those "related" folks?

But what about the gaming sector? Halo, WoW, etc. If those games does not support Mac., I still see a fair share of PC Users in the market in the next 5-10 years.

in A New Fugitive Slave Act? (by Jim Wallis) on God's Politics
"Two points, the first one will shock most of you, since I am a Conservative (and a "mean" one, from what I've read about myself.) Churches should be exempted from this law, except for the employment part. The Church's job is to minister to those in need, not to enforce border security."
Well, Bradley, I'm a liberal, but this a compromise I could live with. As long as the churches are allowed to follow Jesus without molestation from the state, I don't dispute the state's right to regulate its borders.

Thanks Christine - great story and thoughts.
When I see shit like this I can't help but wonder how long we're going to last as a nation.
That we live in a society where people (lots) will defend - in the name of "safety" - what happened to that student, I really wonder if we're witnessing the end of the Great American Experiment.

And on that note, have a nice day folks. ;)

Hi Rob,Theo always seems to be talking about not mortgaging the organization’s future by trading away top prospects for over-the-hill veterans, but when I read articles on ESPN and BP ranking top prospects and farm systems, the Red Sox are always only a little above average. After five years of Moneyball-driven drafts, shouldn’t we be doing a bit better, or is this just an example of old school scouts undervaluing talent?(I’m a big Theo fan, by the way - just don't understand why our organization seems to talk so much about the future, has a bright, hard-working staff and tremendous resources, but seems to have lesser results than other teams)Thanks,Anthony
