in 3 Easy and Highly Requested Thesis Theme Tutorials on Matt Flies - Blog
Hye Matt, thanks. what would you need to add to get the Tweetmeme to show up on the home page too. I've tried adding is_home but it doesn't work correctly. Thanks again!
Matt Langford If you want the Tweetmeme button to show up on the homepage, I highly recommend using the Tweetmeme plugin. Here's why: If you put the button on the homepage using the simple coding, the button will show a tweet count for your home page (NOT for the particular post). For instance, say you have 3 posts shown on the front page with the Tweetmeme button... All of those will show counts for the home page and not for each individual post. Using the plugin will alleviate that problem!

Hey Rich. Thanks or the linkback. I think you're right. With enough people seeing this magazine state-side, I think there would be enough for D3D to offer it over here.

I love the idea of video. I've been planing on using it, but get hung up in the video quality, editing, intros, outros.... ahy. I haven't found an easy way just to sit down and do it without worrying about the details. A lot of post like these are nice, but miss the process.... yeah, I know, it simple right. hit record button, upload to youtube. I imagine there's more to it tho.

It probably because some may have multiple models on the drawing. Should be an option though.

There is one possibility. When I rev the cuwhat about tying the drawing rev property to the View?

I'm frustrated by the separation of robotic design and robot CGI. either the imagination or the capabilities are just not there yet. arg.

Great overview Gabi. We're up against a wall trying to automate some of the weldment functionality we used with regular part/assy files. Right now I'm really wishing different materials could be assigned to bodies. great post!

ha, the SNL question is one I just went there for a few weeks ago. THe knowledge base has actually helped me a lot. and I know my reseller has it up if I'm on the phone with him :) - so it moves issues along a little better.

awesome post gabi. I love using split lines. It works in pratical engineering situations too, when you want to show detail, but not put in all the cuts, like on a screw head.

The flower design looks like some stained concrete I wanted to do in our house! nice.

Gabi, I think you know that an opportunity lost is an opportunity gained. :) no worries right. I have a feeling you won't just be 'blogging, learning, searching, and waiting.' for long.

in I still don’t get it! on GabiJack.com
I always thought the emulator was a bad idea. It's better to take a few more minutes, even hours to actually show them how to do it using SolidWorks.

I think this single topic and Kenneth's comment are key. once this one concept is realized, it opens up their thinking about how to work with 2D in SolidWorks.

in We’re in a death spiral on Scobleizer
My friend in the mortgage biz had to stay at work late tonight because they have so many new loans. certainly the exception. the market is correcting itself, that's something good. real good.

also, partly socializing the banking system with the 700bill, even though it set a bad precedent, will (theoretically) thwart the full socialization of those tending toward that form of government, if they make it into the white house.

in Anti-depression thinking: what do we do? on Scobleizer
I'm a start-up. a blogger. trying as hard as any company to succeed. I don't complain about someone not giving me money so I can 'get out of a rut'.

Instead, I keep working my ass off. This 'downturn' is all speculations. It's all 'fail, fail, fail' - the market needed a correction. Yeah, businesses tank, but businesses making better decisions take them over. That's how it goes.

oh, hey, guess what, there's some cheap(er) stocks out there right now... Can't get VC? try your hand at a solid company stock. It couldn't be any riskier than the mess Carter, Clinton and Frank got us into.

Hey Gabi, I'm in complete agreement with how you are looking at the opportunities you have as just that. To me it's part of the experience and a chance to interact with others... no matter what the volunteer effort is.

in Stop the SolidWorks Rot: Simple Tips for Awesome Design Practices on SolidSmack
Ian, in this case I would bring everything into a central directory, then go to File, Pack and Go and start putting the top level assemblies and drawing (with their associated files) into a directory structure (or PDM system) for your company. This is about the single quickest way to resolve problems with data in multiple locations. hope this helps your team!

Hey Ivan, definitely go with the Explorer if you can, you'll get much better use out of it. the navigator does only have two programmable buttons on it.

Look pretty slick huh. I'd like to use it but it doesn't have a lot of the aircraft standards we use. and haven't taken the opportunity to make a library in toolbox for them.

I'll have to try it out now.
