in Michelle Obama on faboo mama
An amazing speech and series of moments tonight. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, I was all choked up during the final moments, too. I work in the non-profit world of community organizing, and to have the possibility that people who understand that type of empowering work have a shot at the Presidency fills me with so much joy. The video was great, I loved that they gave her mother the opportunity to narrate. Powerful stuff. Very powerful.

faboomama You know what, talking to my cousin he said the same thing. He's worked with Obama before and has such a pride that a community organizer has gotten this far. He said that he was getting burned out, but watching the Obama campaign energized him and made him redouble his efforts in his area.

And Mrs. Robinson looked like she was holding back tears the entire time. She must be very proud and I like the fact that she narrated the video too. I sounded like my aunt flipping through photo albums just talking about family. Very personal.

in Obama Has Overwhelming Latino Support. Duh on Jack and Jill Politics
It's in the interest of corporate profit to maintain the mirage that we're divided.

adriana01 I completely agree. The longer they can perpetuate this myth, there is an increased likelihood that we will fail to achieve some of our common goals such as equal access to quality education, prison reform, closing the wage gap, etc.

I have always maintained that in socioeconomic terms, Latinos are closer to the black community than most realize.

On another note, I'm glad to see some of the other Latino bloggers commenting here. I love this blog and learn so much here.
