you cannot be serious, is this for real, posting this stuff, why why why please tell me, did you look at the target page of the author as well??

caseystubbs Jason, I agree with you that the target page is lame, I posted the article, because I thought scalping your jewelry would be a good way to make some quick cash. With the economy as it is we may all need to do that in the near future.

in BumpTop gives Windows desktop a much-needed makeover on VentureBeat
I agree with PluckyGlen Ford.

I installed this program and it lasted about 10 minutes. Look, companies like Apple and MS spend 1000 of man years and millions upon millions of dollars to create usable user interfaces. BumpTop does not seems to take advantage of any of the features in the modern UI. To me it looks like a step backwards. Its just another one of the funny 3d things that we happen on every now and again.
Dont get me wrong its a nice technical achievement and the guy must be pleased with his work. It just that this program (as the jobs link on the site states) is not going to "change the world"

Jason

ps. note to developer of this program. I suggest you remove the statement about changing the world on your jobs page. Its ridiculous. You have written a nice little program, you are not changing anything especially "the world"

in The Harvard Crimson :: News :: TLR Guest Pushes Students to Abstain on The Harvard Crimson
Intelligent students actually went to hear this man speak, thereby validating him with an audience? That's a shame all by itself.

yeah, is this the only code needed?...

<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width; initial-scale=1.0; maximum-scale=1.0; user-scalable=0;" />
<meta name="apple-mobile-web-app-capable" content="yes" />

Mickey Yes, that's the only code needed. After you insert the code, load the page in Safari, add the icon to your home screen, then fire it from there. It should work.

MG Siegler I assume you're trying to add code to a web app you made Jason?

good idea for a post, wonder how you came up with it ;)

in All Users Transferred to New Facebook Design By Next Week on AllFacebook
Now we need an app bail-out since nobody clicks on the "Boxes" tab and there is no way to navigate to recently used apps. The 6-8 bookmarks are very limiting.

in The Impact of the New Design on Applications on AllFacebook
The "recently used applications" is critical yet got yanked. I added the Twitter app a few days ago but because I did not bookmark it, I had no way of finding the app again. Fortunately, I remembered the canvas url.

I think that will be the #1 crusher of apps on Facebook.

in Facebook Takes Another Jab at Developers on AllFacebook
Facebook is screwing us! What about apps I regularly use, but have not bookmarked? They are buried!

For example, I've been using/building a dev app on a daily basis and it used to be at the top of the apps dropdown. Now I can't even find how to get to that app other than typing the URL.

Zuckerberg, Morin and others have let the hype fuel their egos and forgot the value of developers. Some days I wish I didn't have a large user base already built on Facebook so that I could move on and forget how bad it hurts to keep getting fucked.

How about incorporating this into a special menu at the Angus Barn? I would suspect a good amount of people (myself included)would love to give these dishes a personal taste!
