Uhh. First, you got OWNED by Ben stating your wife was damaged goods, I found that funny. Second, the "if" pertains to the people on the board doing the actual hiring. Trust me, big name coaches want to coach at IU, the birthplace of college basketball.

I think you are stating the obvious here bro, of course we all want to see our beloved hoosiers advance and will all route like hell to make that happen. In my opinion though we are all looking to move on to a new coach as quickly as possible. Lets be honest, the head coach is the most important piece of the puzzle when it comes to college basketball and at this present moment we don't have one.

I can't believe IU fans say that IU isn't an elite program anymore. I mean, really? If, and that is a huge if, we get a quality name in for the head coaching position this program could be back on top in no time.

Im not really with you on the whole purdue guy crap.. if hes a great coach who cares? thing is he isn't a "great" coach and this is where i agree with you A. IU needs to shoot for the stars here. SPEND MONEY. sometimes you have to spend a lot to make a lot. lets go after patino or izzo or pearl. household names at huge programs already. no reason we can't swing those guys to IU. its crazy to me to hear these guys on this blog pushing for mediocre coaches that haven't coached at big time programs.. we do not need that.

side note : doesn't the AD hiring a commitee to search for a new head coach kinda scare you? i mean 10 people to find a head coach!? thats messed up.. FIRE GREENSPAN.

when i saw butler at a seven i was shocked.. how the hell are they a lower seed then drake? thats bs man.. as far as iu's seed, we got what we deserved. we played a horrible non-conf. schedule and struggled all year in a bad conference. one and done for our boys..

I am truly sick of this BTN garbage.. I go out of my way to watch IU play now -- which is absolutely ridiculous -- and have to put up with garbage broadcasting. I mean for the love of all things holy can I please get a stat!? JUST ONE!? It is flipping amazing to me.. how do you not show the normal stats of the game?? I didn't even see a RESET when the game was coming down to the closing minutes!! I don't know about any of you and how you watch a basketball game but I can't stand not knowing what is going on.. who has the ball if there is a jump ball, what our team free throw pct. is that night, what the hell does this white guy (coble) avg. per big ten game etc... I can't understand how this network operates.. I think your analysis on them is spot on E. They need to clean house though, it doesn't start and end with the analysts.

Wow! What is worong with you people thinking that Scott Drew is a good canidate for this job!? I hope you are kidding. As I have said before; this job is a top 10 job in the college ranks. No reason we should not get a top 10 coach. I don't want one of these unproven coaches that coach mid-major teams ( I know baylor is in big 12 but still baylor isn't in the same sport let alone ballpark as IU). Agreed. I would put Matta at the top of the list, he knows what IU basketball means to Indiana. Plus you can't get a cooler name than "THAD". THAD in the infamous south park episode "Guitar Queero" could play the guitar hero guitar acousticly. Now that is cool.

Lets be honest with ourselves here gentlemen.. IU paid $60,000 to a research firm and after searching all coaching candidates in the U.S. decided on Kelvin Cheaterpants. I hope they don't throw another 60 grand away.. Kelvin was the best we could do? Come on people.. IU is still a top 10 job in college basketball. No reason we shoudn't be able to get a top 10 coach. Go after the greats, who cares.. fuggit ask Coach K!!!
