I just returned from the neighborhood status report meeting. A good conversation was had about the current status of the community plans and the next steps in the process.

Despite over 900 comments online from the Ballard Crown Hill Community only 5 members of the community were present. Adamant support for sidewalks in Crown Hill was voiced as was support for the completion of the Burke Gilman Trail (Missing Link). Also brought up in conversation was the increased traffic on 8th ave nw.

Recommendations will be made soon to the council as to which neighborhoods should have their plans updated and or changed. Two neighborhoods will be selected in the next few months. I would encourage all those interested in getting involved in the direction of the Ballard/Crown Hill community plans to reach out to the Neighborhood Plan Advisory Committee and or the Seattle Planning Commision whose main person of contact is:

You're wrong, the constitution grants
the right to trial by jury, but does
not authorize enslaving citizens.

You can be invited to a jury but not
forced to serve. If you do choose
to attend, look into fully-informed
juries at fija.org

They don't know you received their letter, which
is an invitation only, because they can't conscript
you. Involuntary servitude is illegal. Others'
right to a jury doesn't obligate you.

I just got back from Copenhagen and they have bike lanes that are elevated and seperate from the road way. Until the US adopts similar bike lanes that are somewhat protected from the roadway these stories will continue to happen

cmon! 20 years for gunning someone down? The kid will be 37 when he gets out . This is justice? If i was the clerks family I would be waiting on the doorstep of the jail 20 years from now and exact justice.

have seen crews at the old sunset bowl prepping for its demolotion removing inside copper piping etc.. not sure when they will demo though
