There are NO shortcuts in life. Do not expect anyone else to take care of you. Do not expect anyone else to help you. Do not expect anyone else to make your dreams come true. MAKE your dreams come true. Never give up your dreams. But do them yourself. Save money.
Marriage is often a financially draining disaster. If you get married make absolutely, totally, 100%, certain you are completely in love with the guy and are willing to give up A LOT. If you have un-realized dreams in which marriage would become an inconvenience, do those things first. Be true to yourself. Believe in yourself.

I have used the same products all my life.
Aloe Vera Gel: I use it on my face, my body, it works great on my skin.
Oil of Olay: The old fashioned bottle (yellow). It's the old fashioned stuff, but they added sunscreen to it.
Smoothwear Compact Foundation by Cover Girl: It is a one step liquid to powder formula that takes seconds to apply. I am lazy in the morning, so I have to keep things simple.
LipSmackers brand lipbalm/lipgloss: It looks and feels like chapstick, is ultra moisturizing, super shiny and smells delicious. Mmm.
Pure Olive oil for conditioning the hair or moisturizing the feet, elbows and knees and of course for eating as it promotes health and beauty from within since it is one of the "food fats" essential for a healthy body.
Oh, and don't laugh, I use Cashmere Bouquet beauty soap. I know it is ancient, but, it works.
Also, a smile makes me look better.
And a cup of Ovaltine reduces stress which also makes me look better.

Me too! My grandmother used it and her (sensitive!) skin was so lovely and unlined, that I decided many years ago, that it would probably work for me also. It does, I love it!

I am by no means a great organizer, but I try. I think what helps me most is to have some semblance of a routine. IE: wake up at certain time, have lunch at certain time, etc.
Also, since I am totally NOT a morning person, I do some things the night before like laying out my clothes and showering. And it works. A few weeks ago, I had not layed my outfit and accessories out the night before, so I left the house wearing 2 different shoes! (blushes)
It was a harsh reminder to stick to my routines and habits. LOL!

Not sure I have anything super quirky, but I do have an old Cabbage Patch doll that I love. She is a kind of funny looking, but I really love her.

Everything! I love being a woman. Feminine clothes, perfume, hair. The color pink! Being able to be super smart and giggle too! Being emotionally strong, but still allowed to cry or feel things. Women have common bonds amongst eachother that men often do not. I love being a woman and I love being around other women. Sisterhood is powerful.

Also my Grandmother. She was the best hostess. Everyone felt happy and relaxed in her home. I miss her a lot. Especially around the holidays. Although I have taken over the holiday party type stufff, I will never be comparable to my dearest Grandmaman. She could do anything...

Writing and publishing my book "Style Beauty Trimness" makes me very proud. It has been something I wanted to do my entire life and something my dearest Grandmother wanted me to do. I have spent my life dreaming of it. Now it is a reality and it is such a wonderful feeling, I feel like I could dance with happiness.

Nancy Drew for her intelligence and independence and Barbie doll (not for her looks) but also for what I always imagined to be the Barbie doll's intelligence, independence and can do attitude to life. Nancy Drew and Barbie may have been ficticious characters, but they somehow made all things seem possible.

Nancy Drew was my favorite but I had to wait until my 3 older sisters read them first. I fondly remember my Susie Bakee oven, spirograph, white gloves and shiney shoes on Easter, Candyland, lincoln logs and my pogo stick. It's amazing to me how many of those toys are still popular-timeless.

Shy and quiet. I did take dance and theatre, but I was still shy. I also got teased for my different approach to fashion. Nothing weird or outlandish, just different. :)

If I could choose any animal in the world, I think I would be a very pampered, well loved, poodle. In fact I once took a quiz and that was what I came out to be.
