Now you need to bring back the Corporate Repository, the NC (huge t-shirt crowd at OOW for this one back in the day, and Oracle Office and Interoffice :)

Jake Ha, the good old Corporate Repository; I thought that was still around; doesn't WebIV source from there?

I also had an InterOffice launch t-shirt, and an Oracle 8 one too, which I still have somewhere. I remember supporting 16-bit Office on Win 95, so much fun.

You've given me an idea :)

in The Future is iPhone-tastic on Oracle AppsLab
"I go to my bank’s site and discover they have a mobile version, which is nice. "

Why do you need a mobile version? Isn't one of the iPhone's big selling (marketing) points that you get the "full internet"? It's pretty funny that the "full internet" is one of the great claims of the iPhone, yet so many sites are creating "iPhone friendly" versions of their site. I guess it's marketing vs. what consumers actually want their experience to be like...most folks truly don't need the "full internet" on their mobile device, just pages that let them quickly access the information they're looking for.

in The iPhone Still Rules on Oracle AppsLab
I'd hold out for version 2 personally. Some things I would miss from my Treo 750 if I switched today:

General "One handedness" -- you can do almost everything with one hand on a Treo, not sure that would change with the current form-factor of the iPhone however which appears to need 2 hands for almost everything.

3G - Wifi is great when free and available but not if you're in the car (as the passenger of course), out walking around in a park etc.

A2DP (for BT Stereo Headsets) -- great while exercising, but bad for Apple silhouette marketing/branding which relies on those little white cords connecting your device to your ears.

Streaming Audio (goes hand in hand with the above) -- internet radio is great, get local stations from anywhere or pure internet radio for free

3rd party apps (hopefully the SDK will take care of this), like Slingbox, TomTom, a SplashID equivalent for storing passwords etc.)

Ability to cut and paste..

there are others but those are probably the most important to me...and might be to others as well, once you get a taste of them it's hard to give them up :)
