I have seen micro penis - on a Israeli-Colombian.

I have seen pink - on a white guy.

I have also been totally disappointed by what looked like a mandingo with his clothes on.

I actually once read an article on "growers vs showers", that said that white men tend to be 'growers' who rise to the occasion and black men are 'showers' who stay the same size for the most part. This is more along the lines of what I have experienced.

Overall, any woman who claims to have enough experience to comment must be really nasty if she thinks she has a large enough sample size to make statistical claims!

I can't agree with you more...or less. I just finished applying to grad school and had to talk myself through half of this stuff. Do you really want to be that person who goes "oh, I would have another degree and make more money and have more power to do exactly what I want to do for a living EXCEPT for all of those cute young 20-somethings wandering around and that wretched GMAT"? Doesn't that seem uncharacteristically mediocre? Really, going back to school is one of the best ways to get that "knowing someone" connection that really gets you jobs! This is what I tell myself anyway...

Roots, A Time to Kill, Do The Right Thing, and even The Color Purple put a chip on my shoulder (the way they did Ms Sophia...).

I tend not to think about the extent to which my black female phsycial attributes arent found attractive by white men - or any men. It definitely goes both ways. Of course I had my Bluest Eye times, but now that I'm grown I see that it goes both ways. I'm open-minded, but I don't find thin lips attractive on any man. I also don't care for light hair or certian kinds of noses. This is all probably a result of Freudian stuff and the way I was raised, etc, but while I'm open-minded Im usually attracted to black men (except for thin-lipped, stringy haired ones).

My thing is, as a mediawhore, even if your man just seems gay to OTHER PEOPLE wouldn't that alone give you pause? Her wedding was splashed all over magazine at her encouragement so now here we are as she asks for privacy in the imminent divorce...

ps- I keep some timeline photos of her on my fridge to keep from pigging out or being too vain about any weight loss. It works, too!

The funniest thing about Bone Thugs: While most rappers use some name they picked up in the streets, these dudes had to have sat down, come up with a concept, and decided who would be Bizzy Bone, Flesh N Bone, Wish Bone, and so forth, basically making them a 90s hip hop version of the Teletubbies or some such.

Don't worry about people picking one sentence and running with it Sidittygirl. I know how that is!

But what about the "Last Stop Asian" Theory? A lot of my gay friends say that the last woman a gay guy dates is often Asian, because they tend to have such boyish bodies. The theory has some merit in my little circle, I dunno.

By the way, don't let a woman be part asian and part black - thats the stuff that video hoes are made of and what has apparently become the ideal for so many black men.

Why can't you look like him? One word. ESTROGEN.

It sounds backward but estrogen is what makes it harder for women to be thin than men, because fat cells contain estrogen and our bodies naturally try to hold onto it, so goodbye tiny bikini. Not only that but peep how hs breast size changes from pic to pic! Estrogen fluctations also cause our facial break-outs and intensify the hyperpigmentation that can be left from acne scars so he gets that smooth skin.

As for the weave, hit up that beauty supply store, girl!

By the way, I work for the company that makes the SATS and this...

...is also faulty. IQ and SAT performance are far from being the same thing. IQ is amorphous and has nothing to do with reading, writing or math. The SATs test certain skills, all of which can be learned, and only serves to predict performance in college. The test is given with the disclaimer that the scores for certain groups should be held to a different scale standard - not because black people are intrinsically dumber and not even because of the lack of resources, but because on a basic linguistic level different groups analyze things slightly differently, and the standards of the test are admittedly based on a mainstream American mode of thought.

Non-American blacks dont have impressively strong work ethics - immigrants across the board do. When's the last time you ever heard tell of a lazy immigrant of ANY color? I'm sure 'the old country' be it in the West Indies and Africa has plenty of lazy Negroes in it.

You've inspired me to blog about this, I hope I have the patience to untangle it even more...

Siditty, there is no way that we could blog WITHOUT insomnia. Its kind of the the genius of Van Gogh and how hw wouldnt have been so awesome if he werent nutty. I don't mind admitting that when I was in therapy my shrink was really concerned about my insomnia and my level is similar to plenty of people I know (mostly women). If you cant make yourself read put your nerdiness into one of those Variety Puzzles books cuz they wear out your brain - you wont fall asleep soon but you will fall asleep hard.

I'm not a political blogger by any means but since I'm on the mic, I'm wondering why Flager is catching any flack when Saturday Night Live made the same exact joke about Hilary - "I deserve it." If enough people believe that about her then why can't it be said within 10 feet of any building that Obama's ever been in, let alone by Obama himself? In fact, I think that the reason I don't discuss politics much is how sad it makes me that people buy into this generated significance of anyone with even the most tenuous of connections to Obama poppin' off at the mouth...it all just makes me feel kind of ashamed yet justifiably superior...not good for my ego at all...
