I'm comfortably introverted. Introversion is my home base. Having a voice on the Internet has helped me discover a path toward extroversion. It's still a secondary part of my personality, not the one that feels most natural. I enjoy connecting with people through the Internet in a way that I've never enjoyed connecting the analog way.

It's kind of like...if I can build a digital foundation first, the analog aftermath starts to feel a little more comfortable than I would naturally expect.

First off, that was hilarious! Second, I want to be a real, adult coffee drinker, but the way I make it it tastes like candy. :)

Robert, you embrace and endorse third party services all the time. You're blog is stored on Wordpress.com rather than using the amazing Wordpress software on your own hosted site. If you don't host it, IMO, you don't own it. You're giving a lot of content to companies that may or may not have your best interest in mind.

Facebook sucks. Your endorsement of it almost got me interested, but ultimately, I can't except a social network owning my stuff when it's just as easy to get a domain name, get hosting and keep control.

I'm not 100% pure on my position because PodShow hosts my video files, but I have a contract with them and I value them as a partner...not just a company whose EULA I've agreed too.

When I speak to kids in college. I tell them to register a domain and buy hosting and work to own their stuff. You should do the same thing. If you do, you'll never get banned.

I can understand your frustration. I've never had to sacrifice my Mac to the geniuses for more than a half a day, but your experience with this update isn't the norm. I know it seams that way because it happened to you and your son.

Ultimately, I think it's good that you're sharing your frustration with the rest of us because Apple want's to be perfect. It's impossible, but every time someone points out how they're not perfect, it seems to inspire a new level of excellence. Sorry if I'm dipping into fangirl territory again. I can't exactly help it. :)

Robert, you know I'm an Apple fangirl. I've had trouble with Leopard running FCP apps. The recent upgrade fixed my issues like I expected it to.

All in all, I think you've taken "just works" to mean "never has problems." Even a diamond has flaws.

I get hundreds of tech questions a week. At least three-fourths of the questions wouldn't be questions if the askers were on a Mac.

I've had Mac issues in my life that have wrecked a few hours. I've had Windows issues that have wrecked weeks. No system is flawless. Mac is just better.
