in St. Paul Police union on RNC security planning: ‘The ball was dropped’ on The Minnesota Independent
I don't get it. The RNC got $50 million in taxpayer money specifically for security. And they can't find enough cops for $50 million to police a fucking four-day party? They're calling out the National Guard? For what? To suppress even more speech and rights to assemble? Where'd all the money go? Maybe Norm can investigate it during his lame-duck period after the election.

in Net worth: Are RNC web fees pricing out independent media? on The Minnesota Independent
Gee, I wonder who will be picking up the internet tab for Michael Brodkorb?

in Convention cops: SPPD releases list of departments sending officers to RNC on The Minnesota Independent
But I thought all these cities were crying the blues because they can't afford enough cops on the streets to protect the citizens. Yet there are evidently over 2,600 cops sitting around the coffee shops in Minnesota with nothing better to do than volunteer their time to babysit a bunch of coddled rich Republicans? And what will these cops do when they're no longer needed for the RNC? "Frosted or sugared?"

in Coleman once supported union provision he (and a controversial ad) now decries on The Minnesota Independent
Nice try, tjpffft. From the WCCO story:

"As the Republican Mayor of St. Paul, Coleman signed a unanimous city council resolution asking businesses to stay out of union elections and allow unions to form by signing union cards."

But then, facts and this asshat have been perfect strangers for years.

in ‘Not the Minnesota I grew up with’: Bakk explores bid for governor on The Minnesota Independent
Not a word about the environment or energy. Maybe there's a reason for that. Bakk would be a disaster for the environment, and he hasn't got a clue about getting us out of the energy mess we're in. We can thank Bakk for our state lands being overrun by ATVs, and the mining, timber and power companies would love him. Make no mistake, Bakk will sell anything down the river for a few union jobs. Can you say "Mall of America Subsidy"?
