in What are the best Inspirational or “Personal Growth” books you’ve read? on Carrie and Danielle
I'm Ok You're Ok by Wayne Dyer. I read it early in life, the book taught me about the beauty of living in the moment and more importantly that I could control my feelings - now that was an aha moment!

in What is your big, audacious dream for yourself? on Carrie and Danielle
To change the way business is done - it doesn't have to be this way! It can be real, authentic, people are doing it, I want to be part of that revolution, a leader - a guide.

in What is your biggest indulgence? on Carrie and Danielle
Definitely shopping! My biggest indulgence was when I was in university - not a lot of income, well, living the typical student's life, kraft dinner and the whole bit. I was in Montreal one weekend and fell in love with a leather coat that I could not live without. It was VERY expensive - but I wore it for 15 years!

in What do you regret? on Carrie and Danielle
I think "I should have stayed in LA to pursue that career - rather than coming back to Toronto to marry that guy who walked out on me only 11 months after our wedding!" Then I think, no that was meant to happen. I have learned deep compassion from that experience and I'm blessed to have learned the lesson. So, I still do regret not staying in LA to make a go of it, but I don't regret it more.

in What are your favourite natural remedies? on Carrie and Danielle
Plain Yogurt, no sugar, for breakfast to soothe allergy symptoms (runny, itchy nose, et al) - out of balance bacteria in the gut causes most allergic reactions!

Physillium husk to balance the digestive system. Now that's fibre!

in How do you fall in love with the world? on Carrie and Danielle
by connecting, I've recently learned of the beauty of connecting - with family, friends, with my body, with my emotions, with my muscles, my joints. I was always afraid of connecting and then one day I came to realize that I was leaving anxiety and fear behind and moving through the world. It wasn't until I put them in a little red wagon and started dragging them around with me everywhere I go that I truly started connecting. That to me is falling in love.

in When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? on Carrie and Danielle
When I was a wee child my dream was to have a job in an ice cream store scooping ice cream happily for all the waiting customers. To be surrounded by all those colours and all that joy, wow! Later as a teen I wanted to become an occupational therapist. Science and math got the better of me, now I'm an entrepreneur, go figure!

in No Sugar Tonight! Or wine, or white bread, or … on Carrie and Danielle
You are an inspiration Karryn...I've given up so much, coffee no problem, soda no problem, red meat no problem, alcohol, well I don't drink anyway, no problem. But sugar aaaaaahhhhrrhrhhgghghh - impossible! Then a homeopathic doctor told me: "well that's understandable, you have a chemical craving for sugar" - oh, is it that simple? Well, no not really. It does help when I eat lots of plain yogurt (no sugar added) and have my physillium husk and keep up with the Chromium pills - the sugar cravings do go away, but keeping up with all that, not easy! So, I take much inspiration from you - can I do it? Well, I don't think I'm ready to answer that yet! You've really given me something to live with an idea, a possibility that it can be done. Thank you.

in What’s the best business book you’ve read? on Carrie and Danielle
Creative Habit is on my reading list and I loved Good to Great but the book that really helped me focus my vision so that I could see a clear bright future for my company was the E-myth Revisited by Michael E. Gerber. Brilliant. Now I'm almost ready to tackle my hedgehog concept!

in What does it mean to be civilized? on Carrie and Danielle
R-E-S-P-E-C-T I'm with the others. Actually for me respect is the over-riding behaviour. Out of it comes courtesy and love and compassion and great listening skills - it all falls out of respect.

in What’s your cheap beauty solution? on Carrie and Danielle
I'm going to try Maybelline Full n Soft for sure! I think Lancome Definicils is the best and I haven't found anything that works better but it is expensive! As for eye make up remover. PURITY facial cleanser by Philosophy is the BEST EVER, very gentle and removes all your make up all at once, you don't have to 'pre treat' the eyes.

in Special Friday Edition: What’s the desire beneath your envy? on Carrie and Danielle
the desire behind the envy was to be accepted and not judged. I've left that world, I don't live there anymore and yet I haven't physically moved. I am in a new world, envy doesn't live in this world. What lives in this world is deep gratitude. I strive to redirect the energy that envy consumed into deep compassion.

in What’s the lesson that keeps repeating in your life? on Carrie and Danielle
Listen then respond. But, you know what, I think, I hope it will not repeat itself any more. I went to a beautiful spiritual pilgrimage in December and my interface with the world seems to have changed. I like the new 'listen and respond' me, it's a much better reflection of Graceful in my SS: Constructive Graceful.
