in Laptops, Moving, & More! on Ricky Jordan's Blog
Hi Ricky. This is Richie. (BlogS) Sorry to hear about your laptop demise. But I am very glad to hear about the move you and the family are making into a much larger home. Extra room is always nice to have but you have to keep it under control too. :) Good luck on the move. Take care.

in Interview With William Doll, Director of SolidWorks Labs on CADFanatic
Hi Brian, I never knew who was behind the labs group but now I do. I have tried many of the things that they have come out with and I like the whole idea. They are very innovative and if they are left to do their inventive creations we will have some very nice add ons for later versions. Great little group and now I know how small it really is. Great work guys and gals. Thanks Brian for doing this little article. We should have more revelations like this about the SolidWorks people we never hear about.

Does William have any information for us on whats happening with WorkGroup PDM. William moves onto the Labs division from WorkGroup. WorkGroup PDM gets no improvements in 2009. The product offering is really removed (or at least not advertised on SolidWorks site). SolidWorks doesn't have a clear position on this. The VARs are even worse.

in SolidWorks Tip: Heli-Coil Tap Drills on Ricky Jordan's Blog
Thanks for posting this one Ricky. I have used these heli-coils on some different job sites but never knew about or had any specification training on their design. You have added to my overall knowledge and I thank you.

Hey Richard!
Glad you liked the post! I've been recently educated on the specifics of Heli-Coils myself! Looks like we are both learning some new stuff!

in SolidWorks On Edge Relations: Avoid Them Like Teething Zombie Babies on SolidSmack
Now I think I am beginning to understand why certain things get screwed up. This is only the surface of what I still do not yet fully comprehend. Thanks.

Hey Richie! It's not that On Edge relations are all that bad. They can be useful in certain situations. It's just good to know about how they actually work and also how they can cause conflicts. does that make sense?
