Nice one Chris. The best thing I learnt throughout my journey in social media was not to claim as an expert. There is so much to explore and there are so much changes happening day after. Ethics change and etc.. Its a learning process and will always be learning no matter how many clients we take up. Im glad to say, You are also a Guru to me in a way.

Im in Malaysia Chris.. Social Media is really slow over here.. Its tough to convince people that there is an opportunity online.. Clients are finger countable.. very few.. But I do have hope.. Its pretty interesting to spread an awareness.

Chris, I hail from Malaysia and the amount of people who actually get the social media are finger countable. Even though I try providing such services, questions such as "What for?" etc... arises.

I think the solution to this would be not to talk social media to them. But what we have to do is to promote to them tools such as twitter or facebook in an older fashion way. Some way that just makes them say, that's cool! And to grow usability. As far as my goal is concern, I just want the normal folks to increase their usage on the internet and its tools. We should speak internet to them, rather than what is social media.

Majority of folks here, when I speak social media or try to educate them such, the responds I get its boring.

I guess the social media study, adaptation and preaching should be left to we, social media junkies and just leave and persuade the general public to adopt tools for daily life use.

Its a fact that most, technology oriented people are the one's who actually try out these tools. For example, a guy who owns a blog possibly may be on twitter. But that's what needs a change. A regular teen on the go should tweet or be inclined with a specific tool.

People have such mind blocks such as time constrain, depreciating values of tools as so on within them. What we should do is to introduce specifying tools to them that would help them communicate better. For example, "Person A" may only use Twitter in his life to communicate efficiently and "Person B" uses facebook to network efficiently. It has to be based on individual wants and needs.

Hailing from a very backward society, I am in the process of trying to setup an organization in order to try and identify this individual needs and wants ; promote a specific tool ; and let word of mouth do the rest. All this organization does is to create awareness among the real world individuals.

Well Novinthen, It depends.. because of the Asian mindset on price, the internet may be also an alternative to most people's perspective.

Where ever there is a say on cost cut, Im sure people would turn their heads around.

But what said, we will have to analyze the progress gradually. Then we could trace if there is a change or not. I do have a strong feeling it would. But of course not as rapid compared to other regions.

Well Aaron, I did give a try. I must admit, its pretty good. But just to let you know on why I would not recommend it in terms of my views.

I would prefer a desktop client rather than a web app due to graphic and accessibility reasons.

But besides that, SM2 is a pretty good product. I would suggest people to try it out and see how it works for them.

The idea of the post was to encourage people to think out of the box and your question seemed to be asking what I contributed? Contributed as in?

Well, within context of the topic, Well I have contributed in my own field of media & technology. Looking at everything in a new point of view is what I have been doing all this years. Standing out to make a change in industry standards everyday in this very conservative community.

I'm making daily someone to perform or encourage them to think professionally. Encouraging open thinking and giving my own input to a solution and the list go on. So to answer your question, I can go on and on...Do read my about page to know more about me.

The point is, read the post carefully and do not misinterpret. "What I contributed?" I took that as an open question from Viswesh but it seem to be unrelated to the topic. I'm not sure why but it's just bizarre. Please read and understand the post my friend. No offense too.

Haha, there are not much infra involved. Its the IPTV 2.0 approach. Production cost of opening up a simple stall would be enough. Its all about the content. In order to control bandwidth and so on, we already have great people around the world that provides services to stream and so on. We have just to use them. Allowing us to focus on content and so on. Its free for users to watch as well.
