Tops stuff, Google can sometimes seem a bit slow on the uptake with their product development (Blogger, Picasa etc), but they have the resources to make wonderful things and patience is nearly always rewarded. Picasa (off-line) also has great functionality, linking through to Picasa on-line. I'd over looked this embedded slideshow function though. Thanks.
