There's going to be an actual debate? One where the participants have to use facts to support their side of the proposition and can challenge each others' sources? That would be a change.
I think this will be another infomercial for maintaining the status quo in American government. After seeing the horrific bill that Senators Obama and McCain and Biden voted for yesterday I'm feeling a bit disillusioned. Obama says when the house is on fire you first put out the fire. Can you put out the fire by handing the arsonists a $700 billion can of gasoline and tossing in some tax cuts on the side? So much for solving problems from the bottom up.
Anybody know if Gov. Palin has gotten back to Katie Couric yet with all those examples of Sen. McCain taking the lead on enforcing regulations on business? Didn't think so.
Letterman absolutely eviscerated McCain Wednesday night (Hey John, need a ride to the airport?), and last night he took a minute to rub salt in the "Maverick's" wounds. Check the MSNBC video of Dave's monologue - wicked humor that his writers can create with 24 hours notice. I don't think we'll see the senator appearing with Letterman before election day.
