No problem, Rashunda, I'll clean up the comments. Dock Detox keeps the icons from bouncing up and down when a program wants your attention. The "animate open applications" setting only has an impact on when you open applications (which doesn't bother me).

Je sais qu'il y a des problèmes avec l'autodiscovery (surcharge de requêtes inutiles aux serveurs?) -- mais je ne sais plus exactement ce que c'est :-)

Et comme en fait je n'ai pas vraiment compris le fonctionnement de l'auto-discovery... je reste prudente!

Hi Kiran! thanks for the note. I'm in Pune until Sunday, and then I'll be heading for Kerala -- no stop in Bangalore I'm afraid. Would have been nice to meet up, though!

As for music, laura, I haven't been hearing much radio these days. I'm coming back with a pile of CDs, of course, even though I can't listen to them here (the CD player at home is broken). I just have to trust the judgement of my friends ;-)

I'm still trying to figure out the answers to these questions. This morning, when I was day-dreaming about maybe spending another year or two here, I thought I might miss having a proper bathtub. ;-)

I missed cheese during my year here, rare meat (steaks and the lot), and the certain level of quality in service one expects to get in Lausanne.

As to what I enjoy most here... hmmm, I'll try to answer that as the days go by here.

You seem to think like me. What I find frightening is how "real" the e-mail looks. Seems to me the chances an unexperienced user with XP would install the attachment are pretty high.

Bon, j'ai déjà  viré le vert clair entre les billets et commentaires, je vais le virer du hover! C'est vraiment trop clair le texte des comments?

Euh... le contraste entre le violet foncé presque noir et le blanc pur du fond de page??

C'est clair que c'est moi qui décide, mais bon je sais que je n'ai pas un sens esthétique très développé, donc si tout le monde déteste à  part moi, je vais peut-être remettre en question mon choix :-)

Soit dit en passant, c'est totalement voulu d'avoir un layout qui fasse plus "fille".

Avant, c'était un mélange de CMS maison et de Blogger.

Mithun: MT has nothing whatsoever to do with the layout. I could have switched to MT without touching the old layout, or changed the layout to what it is now without moving on the MT. Maybe it's the Palatino font which makes it look MT-ish to you. In any case, bear in mind that this layout was put together pretty quickly and is not intended to be final.

Darken: DotClear est très bien, mais il a un gros désavantage en ce qui me concerne -- pas de catégories multiples. Comme j'utilise les catégories pour spécifier la langue de mes billets, tous mes billets ont au moins deux catégories. Une des motivations principales pour changer d'outil était justement de pouvoir utiliser des catégories multiples.
