There was a third in Hudson earlier which ended in tragedy.

While I realize that tactically a bunch of men in camouflage with high powered rifles is best for the safety of the officers, this isn't always the right approach depending on how despondent these individuals are.

This could have turned out differently if area police departments established a Crisis Intervention Team that included licensed therapists as part of the response team.

The last people on earth who understand people with mental illness and despondent individuals are Nashua police officers who have a history of mocking individuals with mental illness and treating them like 2nd class citizens.

It must be pretty threatening to these poor individuals to have a bunch of commandos surround your house with high powered rifles. The despondent individual is often not thinking rationally to begin with and then must really feel there is no way out once they got boxed in by these GI Joes. Suicide at that point may feel like the only option.

Crisis Intervention Teams make more sense in these situations. How about establishing one and maybe saving a life or two? Or is it just more fun to run around playing Commando and then laughing about the tragic ending over a few beers at the bar?

Re: 24 is the new 25 - One of my favorite pics of the night. Sorry, but...

That's the BF?
