I'll have to give them some more attention, especially after Lani's comment. We have been using Spresent.com over on our site. Here's an example

in You Won’t Win Friends With “Facebook Friend Bomber” on AllFacebook
Yeah, but what about all those FaceBookers that need Viagra? Isn't anyone concerned with their well-being?

You gotta love the concept of a social network where you haven't a clue of who the people in your network are.

in Zillow Gets a Realtor Poll as RealtorGenius Gets the Shaft on Sellsius
Is branding yourself as a Realtor really worth a damn anymore? The people most vocal on this seem to be Realtors and not the consumer. Is the designation REALTOR similar to getting an online degree for $19.95 only more pricey?

You tell me. I'm not a REALTOR and have only been in the biz a little over a year. The other two team members are. I have yet to see one instance where being a Realtor had any influence. Of course, I can't go to the convention - maybe that's the big deal.

in The NAR Fires a Shot at RealtorGenius.com on The Phoenix Real Estate Guy
Jay thanks for the heads up. Once again the NAR demonstrates their real stripes. As I often say, your actions speak louder than words. The NAR is a classic example of an association no longer in touch with it's members, its mission, or the times.

This is obviously a retalitory action based on Realtor Genius' high level of exposure and the posts taking the NAR to task.

I love it! Another plus for transparency. Before long this whole Real Estate Web 2.0 gig will be just another installment of the Jerry Springer show.

in Where Does Video Whup Virtual Tours? on Sellsius
It's a matter of money. Good video requires decent equipment and knowing how to use it, how to write a script, how to edit effectively, and etc.

I'm playing around with Real Estate Shows at the moment looking for ways to expand its viral potential. Though more limited than many products out there, it offers the average agent a means to expand their marketing tools without having to earn a degree in technology or cinematography.

in Trick or Trust? on Duct Tape Marketing
When I get those "official looking" pieces I toss them and add the sender to a list of people I don't want to do business with. I prefer ads that are short, sweet and to the point. I want to scan it and make a decision in about 2 seconds. If you're trying to fool me or waste my time, why would i want to do business with you?

Having followed Greg's comments, I am not surprised. I wonder if his position on linking to Teresa or the Bubble is a rule for his guest bloggers. Brian Brady can you clarify? Can you write a post on Bloodhound and link to Teresa or not?

Yes indeed, a very good lesson. I will bookmark this page to pass along to all those attending the blogging classes Pat Kitano and I are teaching.

Just want to mention Nick Strippy to help the Google Juice.

I wonder if he even has his name set up on Google Alerts - I'm sure the rest of you do.

in Showdown in Blogtown: First Blogger Debate on Sellsius
Many distinguished people accept awards like the Razzies with grace. Many recipients agree they were well chosen. There's a lot of content that could and should be challenged on a lot of levels. Having some weenie-in-cheek fun with it isn't such a bad thing. Too bad the ego is such a fragile thing. Sitting on the high horse of righteousness is always a tough act regardless of one's philosophical bent.

in Can An Illusionist Sell A Home? Experience Marketing on Sellsius
the producers of a new show being taped for HGTV contacted us a couple of months ago about a new project of theirs - Sleep On It. The program follows a buyer through the house hunting and the buyer gets to sleep over in the home they want to buy, then they assesss the effect getting to sleep on it has on the sales process.

The fractional ownership route is going to be a huge wave for boomers that want to experience more of the world.

John - I had this conversation with an electronics salesman and a sales manager in Men's Furnishings at Nordstroms. Salespeople could create a tremendous presence and sense of authority through blogging, but few get it yet. Proving that my fellow real estate agents aren't alone
