When someone attacks the youth for being immature it bugs me. When someone grows up they usually become more traditionalist conservatives. Why is that? Is it because when you reach a certain point in your life you become a coward unable to accept change in any form? A coward that reverts to religion because you wanna have a place to go after life? I don't mind Ferdinand as captain for the France game, because everyone knows that the captaincy is going to be passed around some until WC qualifying starts. It's not like he's been permanently given the armband.

If anything, it will show Ferdinand what it's like to captain his nation against a major opponent. The honor and responsibility that he experiences as captain of England may affect his performances in the future in a positive way. That's not a bad thing.

As for Beckham's confirmed cap for tomorrow, I don't really get it. There are other players who are actually playing and who are playing well. Perhaps Capello would rather get the 100th cap out of the way so as to not have his team distracted by media questions about the 100th appearance down the road when the games actually matter. Perhaps Capello is a robot controlled by Alexi Lalas and the LA Galaxy.

The US isn't that good, but they're a good friendly for England. USA is the type of team England would see in the group stages of the World Cup. Also, given that the US is not a glorious opponent for England, the passion of England's players will be tested: England need to learn to play every game 100 percent, whether it's Andorra, Russia, Brazil, or the US.

1. England's first problem is Mclaren. Nothing against the man, but there is a coach somewhere that could help England shine (Jose!). I think the FA (maybe the fundamental problem) is incompetent, and they pick the wrong candidates.


2. England's second problem is the pervasive perception amongst the English that England will screw up, play bad, etc. This affects the psyche of the English players, not only because of current negative expectations by England fans, but also because the players themselves grew up in a culture where England is expected to suck. It's a self-defeating mentality that the players themselves adopt effecting their play negatively.



3. England's third problem is Paul Robinson (their goal keeping situation in general is bleak). Teams that have a strong mentality and who are successful usually have a strong keeper. Robinson gets scored on from deep every other week because he sits too far out of net and he lacks the proper reaction to compensate for his positioning. Also, he's not anything special on crosses. The players, no matter what they say, realize this. This creates an even worse team morale.

People burn out in sales pretty quickly. Maybe it's time for a career change. You can't force interest or motivation.

"innovative" is the church supposed to be "innovative" or faithful? was Jesus' interested in gimmicks and innovation? where in the Bible, or in church history, do we get the idea that innovation is the answer? last time i read the Gospel, Jesus was killed for the things he said, not put in a magazine as one of the most innovative leaders of his time... but i guess i'm just cynical...

I guess because I am still a little new to Cingular (had to move from AT&T Wireless when Cingular bought them, which I find ironic because now AT&T owns Cingular ::shakes head and shrugs::), but used to never get charged for incoming messages. Only when I sent them. You could send text messages to a friend through the website and inturn receive from the website for free. I used to get charged the normal dime only sending from my phone. Now, it doesn't matter if I send or receive them...still get the charge. I don't really care about it because i don't text message that often, but it can get quite annoying because if 10 friends send me ten messages each, it can add up quickly.
