in A free speech graveyard at the Democratic National Convention on The Colorado Independent
Mayor Hickenloopers Police are already putting pressure on long standing Denver protesters, enforcing long ignored and un-Constitutional laws and threatening protesters.

Denver Mayor Hickenloopers rebuttal:
Opposing view: We support free expression
http://blogs.usatoday.com/oped/2008/07/opposing...
As you can see I posted a lengthy comment detailing our Impeach Colorado Coalition's recent experience in dealing with threats from the Denver police while protesting in front of Rep. DeGette's office and Channel-7 and Channel-31.
Our experience suggests that the Denver police are currently engaged in a campaign of threats of "disturbing the peace" and "conspiracy" charges against any/all protesters and that this new threat is happening now and is not just "planning for DNC radicals".
This threat has caused our group to stop using "Honk To Impeach" signs, which the Denver Police claim is a "conspiracy" to violate Denver laws. We do not have the financial resources to oppose them in court and must concentrate on the goal of impeachment, not trying to change local laws. Since there are so few groups pushing for impeachment we feel we must concentrate on our original goal, having impeachment hearings prior to the election.

in Rep. DeGette on Clinton, kumbaya, cash and the convention on The Colorado Independent
I have been a Democratic voter for 43 years, an Obama delegate to the Denver County Convention and a supporter of Rep. DeGette for her entire career, until now that is.
I am compelled to state that the next time she runs for office I will probably support any real liberal that runs against her.
I have been waiting for her to stand up for Our US Constitution and come out with her support for the immediate holding of Impeachment Hearings. DeGette always responds with the same tired, silly excuses, it would take too much time, divert us from more important work, not enought votes, etc. It is all baloney.
DeGette took an oath to protect Our Constitution.
Every liberal voter knows Bush and Cheney lied about WMD and those lies got 4,091 US Soldiers kill for nothing and over 30,000 maimed for nothing but their Lies.
Doesn't DeGette care about these wasted American lives? What is going on. I used to trust her completely. This stonewalling on impeachment hearings Must Stop!
Rep. Kucinich introduced his long awaited Bush Impeachment Resolution last evening in the US House and the Media and the Congressional Democrats are pretending it doesn't exist. How long do you Democratic Congressmen think that We The People are going to put with this nonsense. How long do you thing you can get away with the sel serving baloney without suffering politically?
See the AOL.com Poll on Impeaching Bush and on whether the voters think Bush lied about WMD. at this url:

All voters who believe that Cheney and/or Bush lied about the reasons to invade and occupy Iraq should immediately go to these links and vote in these two AOL.com IMPEACHMENT POLLS
DO IT Right Now! Please!!!
RESULTS SO FAR Today:
In answer to the question: What do you think of Rep. Kucinich's bid to impeach President Bush?
Over 57% answered "Thumbs Up" (Favor Impeachment)
In answer to the question: Do you believe President Bush deliberately misled the nation into going to war against Iraq?
61% said "YES" ( Bush lied about WMD)
In 2006 a MSNBC Live Poll showed 89% though Bush and Cheney should be Impeached.
Liberals support the Constitution and honor their oath to it. Is DeGette a real liberal if she doesn't? Perhaps she works for the fat cats now?

in ACLU sues Denver over jail manual on The Colorado Independent
Udall, DeGette, Salazar, Perlmutter & ACLU Of Colorado
continue to avoid protecting our Constitution, But,
the ACLU is doing a great job fighting for the right to protest safely at the DNC.
It is a shame that ACLU Of Colorado continues to avoid coming out in support of Impeachment (as the ACLU did in 1973 against Nixon).
In 1973 the US House Democrats filed multiple resolutions of Impeachment against Nixon. So many in fact that the press and House Judiciary Committee Chairman could not ignore them. Action was taken to impeach Nixon for far less serious crimes forcing him to resign.
Today we have a Vice President and President who have committed hundred of violations of Our Constitution and the ACLU does Nothing, After hundreds of far more serious crimes against our Constitution, the ACLU does Nothing!
Kucinich's resolution to impeach Cheney has more co-sponsors than all of the 1973 Nixon impeachment resolutions but still our Colorado Congressmen ignore the hundreds of violations of our Constitution by Bush. Why? What deal was made?
Our Colorado Congressional Democrats, DeGette, Salazar, Perlmutter and Udall Do Nothing to protect Our Constitution and bring Cheney and Bush to justice. They duck any and all discussion of their duty to hold impeachment hearings.
These Congressmen took an oath to defend Our Constitution. Have they become traitors to Our Constitution?
If we cannot trust them to honor their oath of office, can we trust them to protect our interests against the corporations.
Rep. Udall in particular has a special responsibility to us. He wants to be elected to the US Senate, but he refuses to honor his oath and call for Impeachment Hearings prior to the election.
If Rep. Udall will not defend Our Constitution why on earth would we want him in the Senate. We already have one Colorado Democratic Senator (Salazar) who supported Gonzales for Attorney General and votes like a Republican. We don't need another.
Udall needs to immediately come out in support of impeachment hearings or risk his election to the Senate. He is in a tight race and needs to pay attention.
Protecting Our Constitution is far more important than allowing a cowardly Congressman Udall into our US Senate.
I am a 43 year Democratic voter and I am sick and tired of supporting Democrats who refuse to protect our Constitution.
