Nice comebacks. Anyway, it's always healthy to treat well-meaning non-vegetarians with humor and still get your message across because let's face it, you are the minority, but it doesn't mean anything except in quantity. I find the term "proper food" hilarious. It can only come from our folks.

"Talking Down to Black People"

That's one of the parts of the comment he made that got me mad as well. So telling the truth about absent fathers and his own personal experience is talking down? O i get it what Jesse wanted to hear was how the slavery had everything to do with why men can't be father's today or my favorite "the white man" has them down.

Barack talked about personal responsiblity which most black men don't want to hear, but they heard it. Im tired of people using their black skin as a crutch as to why they are not ahead in life. No the reason "you're" not ahead in life is because you choose it that way.

If this is Barack Obama is putting the BC on blast as another poster said on another blog, then i surely hope he does it again. When people cried that he doesn't talk about black issues and he finally did they didn't like what they heard. Instead they wanted a feel good sermon about discrimmination and economy. That never stopped mothers from being mothers so i don't want to hear it.

Jesse Jackson does not speak for me and I'm glad this came out cause at least Obama knows who his allies are from his foes. All God is doing showing Obama the people he needs to keep at arms length.

How so true. I rememeber when the media just kept prasing j.lo's curves, im thinkin to myself "hello! we've had curves since the beginning of time" and then would have the nerve to mention some black artist like beyonce after they list a whole lot of ww who suddendly(plastic surgery) have curves.

I read this girls testimony online that she had this wm friend who liked her but never really admitted it. the wm gf knew this and every time the girl saw her she got darker and darker from the time b4. my guess they want to look exotic. sorry but white people do not look exotic(no offense) even if they put injections in their lips and balloons in their breast/butt.

don't believe me...read this article on matthew mcconaughey and his new gf and see what advice they give to "pretty white girls and women". since i read that, i was like "o i get it".

i can't argue if the movies are going look like wm/bw relationships are doomed. they did the same with IR films w/ bm/ww. either it could open people's mind. your stories are one of the reason i decided to give dating a rest this year. i had a phone stalker guy as well. after telling him kindly that i was not interested in him (after 1 date), he kept calling me for months.i tricked him into calling the rejection number and then changed my phone number. thank god he was too broke to have a car to know where i live.

all of those women were changing their skin for one reason...a man. they have got to be kidding me. they obviously don't know how to play the game. and not to mention they didn't look any much lighter to me.

they need a big boost of self esteem. and go where they are wanted. i noticed when i was younger that black guys were always going for something lighter. okay fine...so i went after whoever wanted to be around me and most of the time it was non-bm/lighter men cuz they gave me the time of day. i didn't cry/whine/bleach my skin about it, i went elsewhere. and the poor children i don't think they have any idea what's going on.

This guy is something else. When he first appeared on YT he made a video about why bw are dating outside their race and why he understood. Then he closed that account and made a new one w/ him wearing these goofy looking glasses acting like a nerd and doing a whole dedication vids to IR dating between bw/wm trying to convince bm that bw really do desire bm, they never desired wm and it's all threats that bw are making. Then he shuts down those vids and puts up this one. This guy is all over place, but it sure is funny watching him scratch his head about this when he is infact married to a black woman.

Those type of books are for women who date black men.

In my experience of dating IR, not once did the man feel inferior because I go to school & have future goals. They were quite pleased and were eager to hear more of what I wanted to do. And they in return had education and future goals as well.

I remember dating a couple of bm and whenever i told them i wanted to travel, work for the gov't, and possible own my business. Instead of saying that's great or things of that nature, they would ask question as if they were offended such as "why would you wanna travel?", "why you wanna work for the white man?", "there's no black people in europe". Just plain 'ol ignorant answers.

so when i read those quotes from Steve Harvey I'm like "typical answer". He may have a few pointers here and there, and it's not like anything we don't already know, but the minute they start talking about sucess and feminism, im out the door.

K the laundry pure seems to work great. Clothes are clean and they smell clean after the wash.

When I think 'green architecture' I think of anything that employs recyclable material or is recyclable as a whole. Cob, strawbale, earth-sheltered, earthships, rammed-earth, etc. all come immediately to mind. Each method has its pros and cons.

I would have to say that my favorite example - though fictional and atleast partially CGI - is Bag-End (the ancestral home of Bilbo and Frodo Baggins) as portrayed in Peter Jackson's rendering of The Lord of the Rings.

The building methods and materials used at Dancing Rabbit in Mo. are all pretty impressive too. I am working on convincing my wife that we need to follow those lines rather than buying a conventional home and saddling ouselves with so much more debt. Student loans are bad enough.
