Something else about Charlotte... it doesn't warrant it's own theory, as it's more just something I noticed and got pretty excited about as I was re-watching season 2. Also, forgive me if this has been brought up before. In an Eko-centric episode, maybe "?", the one where he was living as a priest, and got assigned to investigate a possible "miracle", there was a girl, who had drowned, and then "came back to life" as she was being cut into on the autopsy table. Her name was Charlotte. From what we know about people that leave the island, or at least Michael and Tom is, they can't die off the island. And of course, we know that Charlotte says she was born on the island. At the end of the flashback we meet Charlotte's father (Claire's fortune-teller), and he debunks the whole thing, saying that her body had shut down due to hypothermia (I think), thus leading people to believe she had died. What if all that was just her way of not dying, meaning, if she had been born off-island, she'd most certainly be dead. The biggest let-down of this whole thing is that they actually show Charoltte in the end, and it's not the same actress that plays freighter-Charlotte. BUT the actress does have red hair... a coincidence, no? I don't know, maybe the writers intended it to be the same character, maybe not. Do the timelines match? The girl in Eko's episode was probably 20 at the oldest... Charlotte is probably 25 at the youngest? Was Mr. Eko a preist for 5+ years? With Lost though, there seems to be some playing around with time, so maybe it doesn't matter too much. Oh, and also, was Charlotte from Austrailia? That is important, of course! I haven't been able to watch season 4 since it first aired... Thanks for reading!

Wow, great theory! Could this also have something to do with the whispers? Like if they are an extention of their past/future selves within their own consciousnesses. For example, before Shannon's death, I believe one of the whispers is saying "dying sucks", which is what Boone says to Shannon in the flashback of her father's funeral. Also, it could be like Shannon commenting on her own situation, as if another 'Shannon' is watching it happen.

I think that Jack is just fed up with the others. He has really strong feelings for Kate, and when he finds out that they are using her against him, he gets pissed off. He's mad at her a little, sure, but I think he's mostly mad at them. I think there are a few bits missing from this scene, but I'm not sure.

The first half of the scene is beautiful -- Jack loves her so much.

I hate to say it, but I think it's going to be Alex.

Look at it from a storytelling perspective: If they kill Alex, it will set Rouseau on a crazy warpath of revenge, and it could possible even make Ben act human for once. Nothing breaks hearts and angers people like the death of someone young. Kill Charlie? Fine, he's an annoying "VHI has-been." Kill that Pryce guy? Whatever. And Zeke? OK, we'll miss Mr. Friendly, but it seems most fans aren't outraged over any of these deaths.

So the two female ones have to mean something. I believe the creators said only one of the deaths would be major, and that's CHarlie.

Alex is not a major character. She's an adored, loved character. People think she's wonderful. Killing her would be a powerful move and open up a lot of creative routes to go on the show.

Of course, I hope it doesn't happen : )

I think Ausiello is talking about a different show. I don't think he'd point out the girl is a "white female" if he was speaking about Lost, simply because there aren't many white females on that show.

Seems more likely he's talking about Grey's. I don't watch that show but it's got a ton of white chicks AND a boatload of behind-the-scenes drama.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks the whispers are freaky to listen to.

Does nobody find it weird that Juliet's shrink showed up and then disappeared between the whispers? It's like she's able to teleport... maybe the whispers indicate an opening of a wormhole or something.

Guys, remember back in Season One they played up the whole, dark side and light side concept (Locke illustrated it with Backgammon pieces.) Now, we have different monster instances. Locke for example saw a beautiful bright light one time and a murderous smoke monster another time. Now, we have seen the smoke monster attack Kate and Juliet and then run away after some bright flashes. I'm beginning to wonder if the island isn't home to TWO creatures. A dark one and a light one.

I'm not sure if anyone else has brought this up. But Sun could have been playing proxy to Rose on the plane this time around. Even though Jin wasn't on the plane Sun was holding onto his wedding ring and just like Rose and Bernard they are now separated. Its not completely an infallible theory I just thought it was interesting especially since it looks like we won't be getting their reunion right away.

I'm so glad someone else understands this! For the first time since I was a CHILD I wore jeans, a fleece zip-up, and tennis shoes to the game on Saturday. UGH. It PAINED me. But it was just too cold and too wet to wear anything else. I couldn't believe how other people were dressed, either. Makes me feel old.

I love Temptalia's blog! You can search for virtually any product and she's done a review on it. It's a very dangerous place for me.

OPI is my favorite line, but I also like Essie. Essie is a little harder to work with but they have some colors I love, like the Mint Candy Apple I've been obsessed with lately.

My only question with this whole trend is, couldn't they have picked a little more grown-up name than "romper"? Having children still running around in them, I'm not sure if I could bring myself to wear one :). But as I've said before I think you can pull off anything and your version looks cute on you, and quite comfy too.

That purple is beautiful. I love the different shaped buttons all in white. It adds some fun and interest but is still sophisticated. And the hat is great. I have a pattern for one similar in my Lotta Jansdotter Simple Sewing. I didn't think I'd ever try that one out, but I think now I might :). I've got some dark denim just hanging out, that might work nicely. Beautiful work as always. Love the simplicity of your new header by the way. I need to customize my blog, that's way over due.

Since you asked :) I have 3 containers in the kids' bathroom - whites, colors, and towels. The kids sort their clothes as they take them off each night (usually, Sam is the best at this!). Then when I see one is full, I do a load. I tend to do a load every other day; sometimes I do a load every day. I am an early morning washer with the laundry started by 0630. This way, Im not 'held hostage' during that day. I can't stand not being able to go somewhere because clothes are in the dryer! No more Mt. Washmore for me :)

I was so excited when I first got my RAZR cell phone. However I had no idea of the quality of the product I just purchased. My cell phone has a habit of deleting my inbox without me telling it to and refuses to send every other text message (even with FULL service) so I have to turn it off and back on. It is also slower than my computer from the early 1990s and likes to shut off randomly. I had 230 photos saved, and when I tried to take another photo, it said it the memory was full. Fair enough. Yet after deleting 28 photos, the memory was still somehow 100 percent full. When I tried to delete my outbox, it deleted half and then doubled the rest of my sent messages. I hope it breaks so my parents will get me a new cell phone.

When I first got it I thought it was wonderful. Then the bad start to set in. Since I got it in Feb 2005 I have had to get 3 VX3200 phones to replace the first one. The speaker broke in one. Another did not charge.The list keeps going on. I cannot wait until my feb 2007 comes so i can get a different phone.

This is one of the worst computers I have ever touched. It shuts off due to over heating even when I have it propped up on books so it get's enough room to blow the hot air. And when it does this it delets all the work that i have been doing. This makes me have to save my work every 3 minutes just in case it shuts down. My battery also only last about 10 minutes and not the power cord is shot since it doesn't plug into the back of the computer anymore. It keeps falling out! How am I supposed to use this in college if I am ever supposed to get my work done?

I watched last night, as it happened. The bracelet thing was dumb on both sides. I dislike it when people play on sympathy to sway someone to their opinion. That whole exchange simply illustrated two different types of military moms.

I don't know who won, but I was disappointed. Almost all they did was reiterate their campaign commercials and run each other down. I got tired of Senator McCain smirking and Senator Obama gesturing questioningly at Lehrer.

I don't know why, but I had expected some rock-solid ideas to come through on McCain's part. I was impressed that he went back to Washington-- I had been wondering for almost a week when those two senators were going to remember their constituents in this crisis and briefly reshoulder their current responsibilities. Maybe that is why I expected something more from McCain at the debate. Something statesmanlike. All I saw was politics as usual.

Hey, I used that book when my girls were tiny, too!

I still use her Great Groovy Griddle Cakes recipe for pancakes and waffles, but I cannot find the cookbook anywhere. Seeing the cover brings back fond memories.

Thanks for the hot cocoa recipes. I wish I knew of something healthy and sweet to substitute for the sugar, as sugary drinks tend to make for hard days around here. We generally by the sugar-free hot chocolate mix at the store, but I don't like giving them artificial sweeteners so often.

Triss and I were just today talking about Amy Dacyzyn's ideas where this is concerned-- she and her sisters were *so* excited to be getting canned tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch because we rarely have that (that's a lot of dairy in one meal, and I have steered clear of canned soups for the last few months too). I told her the ice cream story and how the 'wow' factor goes down in proportion to the number of gifts/treats received.

We realized that it is similar to the law of supply and demand. (It may *be* the law of supply and demand, but I hesitate to say that, not having read up enough on the subject.)

We purchased a portable puppet theater that is basically a lot of fancy fabric on a tension rod, with appropriate openings, and pockets on one side for storing puppets. It will fit almost any one-door doorway.

I see where you're coming from, Saigh, but I think your reaction is a little bit extreme. I agree that Polanski should go to prison for what he did, because it was unequivocally terrible, and whether he's made good movies is irrelevant. And while I tend to agree with the position that his movies can still be appreciated in their own sake, without any bearing on the director's personal life, I can see how you wouldn't want to watch them.

But all Lindelof is saying here is that he doesn't necessarily think that criminal activity by the artist should render the art unwatchable/unappreciable. And while it's totally okay to disagree with that, I dont' think it's a radical enough position for you to have to punish yourself by not watching something that you enjoy. There's no evidence in the article that at all suggests that Lindelof thinks what Polanski did is fine. Saying that you think Chinatown is a good movie doesn't mean you support the rape of children.

Dropping by your blog again. I was thinking the same thing about patterned tights and the blazer! I recently got a navy blazer with gold buttons from the boys section! I so can't wait for school to start so I can start wearing it. There are so many looks you can pull off with it. Flat boots are definitely in, but I want a pair of leather riding boots. Suede is ruined so easily in the snow. And haha, I made a whole post on my LJ last month about the "power woman" look. I've been craving a "power watch" (oversized, executive looking watch that only emphasizes the wearer's femininity, because her wrist is so small).

The students that you witnessed rallying were not those who were actually involved. They did not show up early and protest. They came later and took signs that were on the ground. They barely even knew any of the situation that was going on. The real people involved showed up at 6:30, not five minutes before the bell. The real people involved went to class so they weren't causing a disruption. Had you shown up on time, you would ahve seen that and been able to acknowledge it. The kids that you saw were using the rally to get out of class. They don't care if they get another detention. They don't care about the school. You were asked to leave because you were keeping the students from class. You would not have been asked to leave if you were there when the real rallying was going on.

Another GREAT organization working hands-on with women facing unintended pregnancies is Care Net (www.care-net.org). Care Net is a network of pregnancy center ministries that help alleviate the pressures that drive women to abortion by providing counseling, material support, community referrals, and many times medical care. They are nonpolitical and nonpartisan Christian ministries that are taking a compassionate, grace-filled approach to the issue of abortion. I believe it's an approach that people from both camps could support. I work at our local center, and our local Planned Parenthood CEO called our programs "very empowering." Not bad from a "pro-choice" person talking to a "pro-life" person!

Yes, I have some ideas. Place a picture and then decorate the page around it, type out something that put's the date and what the picture is about. For instance, let's say your three year old daughter Lisa {Random-ness names and event} just had her 3d birthday and she was blowing out the candle. Put something like {random date} 'July,8th, 2006- Liza is blowing out the candles on her third birthday, she got just she what wanted from her grandparents! The barbie house 2000!'

If you REALLY want to take that path, I think the more sanitary route would be to snap the test open and remove the actual strip with the result on it. You could stick that in the scrapbook or photo album. I hope I helped! :)

It's so true that the church and the mission field are linked firmly together...we need to go out into the whole earth and do something to show how we love one another and God, on a large scale yes, but those tiny things that we also do add up to something enormous!!!

So many Christians that I've known in the past, have gotten bogged down in "studying for studying's sake"; being titilated by the smallest detail of geography, word meaning, etc. in a particular chapter. The whole of their christian lifes are geared more toward the attaining of knowledge than of doing something out in the field of human beings that are longing for God's love. I'm reminded of the old saying, "Don't be so heavenly minded, you're of no earthly good."

I love the idea of a sign posted by the parking lot stating "You're now entering the Mission Field!" If we could only remember that every morning our feet hit the floor.

I'd say over the past...3 years women between then ages of 18-30 have really gotten their shit together. (Well, the good ones have)

You hit the nail on the head - All chicks want the fairy-tale - happily ever after. Our parents, babysitters, and neighbors all read Cinderella and buy us the movies since we come out of the birth canal.

In turn, chicks think they have to have EVERYTHING in common with the other person just to keep the guy interested so they don't fall astray. The sad thing is is that eventually, it gets old, and you start loathing the guy you're with for "Changing you into something you're not". When it fact, it was YOU all along who did this.

Chicks want to be loved. But don't think who they are is loveable.

Yesterday evening I assembled my new sectional! The first piece was easy and the other 3 pieces were easier to assemble. It took me four hours by myself. It looks beautiful. The tan corduroy is so cool and soft. Hopefully my boyfriend will love it! I wanted a huge couch so we could both sprawl out and watch movies/tv together. i have an anxiety/panic disorder and my doctor has me on paxil which helps me not have anxiety attacks as often, but when i do have an anxiety attack i take half a dose of neproxin, its a pill that dissolves in your mouth, and it can make me feel 90% better within 2 minutes.

Been there done that and my advice is cry when you want to cry and try not to overthink everything. Put one foot in front of the other and do the boring mundane things without thinking. Which is nearly impossible for us bloggy writer type people but it really does help if you can pull it off. Hormones are a bitch and if you still feel this way after about 6 weeks, they suggest you talk to a professional (OB, therapist, whatever).

Take care of yourself and I'm looking forward to reading Jamie's birth story!

I feel the same way. I'm so happy Bush won and I think Michael Moore is an idiot. Can I just tell you how nice it is to read someone who shares my opinions instead of all the bloggers who were writing about how terrible Bush is and vote for Kerry. In fact, most of my friends here in the liberal, Kerry's-home-state of Massachusetts, were also confused by my support of Bush. Singing for you is like surfing for me. You sing to center yourself and I surf to do the same. Its the one thing you can rely on to bring you joy, happiness and serenity. Sometimes things happen. In your case it was the PBR being complete assholes and in my case, its when I am no match for the ocean. It totally bums you out and makes you question or second guess why you do what you do. Surfing is whats supposed to make me happiest...ALL the time! When I have a bad day out there, it takes some time to want to go back out and try again. But, I always go back...Don't let the PBR get you down. Your music literally changes lives! Do you have any idea how amazing that gift is?

The show at Rev Hall was one of the best I've ever seen. I think because of the fact that you had so many emotions that just needed to come out...You sang your heart out and were able to release them...Singing is cathartic for you...Seriously, you could feel all those emotions pouring out of you that night and as a result, the show was off the hook and left a lot of us speechless!

We've been using an Epson Stylus R2400 for about a year now, and I love the single-color tanks. The printer will warn you (repeatedly) when they're nearing the end, but will let you print until they run totally dry. I've also heard through the grapevine that they'll have some sort of recycling program starting in the coming months. Sure hope so, because we have about three gallon-sized bags full to the brim with empty cartridges.

With that said, I'd like to know how much energy is wasted by their ridiculous attempt at securing and managing workstations. I'm a contractor, and I spend no less than an hour each day waiting on the machine to boot, shutdown, reboot, etc., due to all of the horribly bloated software they keep on the machines.

If everyone experiences this level of frustration, multiplied by those 660k users, that probably adds up to a lot of wasted time, energy and money. I know I am not a happy NMCI user, regardless of whether or not it's green.

Almost everyone wears clothing on a daily basis. It is great that the fashion industries are taking action to become more environmentally friendly. Knowing that a shirt that one buys is made of recycled materials will likely influence whether that person buys that piece for their wardrobe. I can just imagine telling a friend that I like their shirt and they could say "Its made of recycled materials." I know that Victoria Secrets Pink line has the recycle triangle as an image. And honestly, I do not even know if the materials are recycled. People love to broadcast going green and the fashion industry, just like other industries, is going to take advantage of being green. It will save them money making the product and they can potentially make more money because people will be willing to pay a little more "trying to make a difference.”

I am currently studying to become a special education teacher and your blog has some really great ideas that I look forward to using in my future classrooms. Using MP3 Players with students who learn better by hearing information can make a huge difference in how successful they are and it would be great if schools could have free access to audio versions of textbooks and literature. I also had never thought about all of the ways that a laptop can help a student with learning differences, like your son, it not only has helped raise his grades and understanding, but also his confidence, which is a huge thing. Integrating technology and using things like wikispaces can allow students with disabilities to blend in extremely well. If students with learning disabilities could be exposed to these helpful technology resources early than it would be much easier for the student to feel more like a regular student. I feel that teachers have a big role to play in making all students feel like they are part of the class and I think that you have given great insight for teachers to use! Thank you!

I think this story is just ridiculous. Americans wonder why 9/11 really happened. And then its because of people like Dr. Phil assuming that all Middle Eastern men dont know how to treat women. I am watching his show just now and scenes where she is with Abdullah, well one can clearly see that they look like they are in love. The only reason he is being picked on is because he is muslim. I think lately Dr. Phil is just taking issue of this and spreading it like wild fire just because he is a Muslim man. I think he is blowing this all out of proportion and honestly, she is 18 years old. She can do what she wants and make up her own mind. If he was that bad of a guy and very controlling, why would he let her call her family everyday the way her mother was. She is 18 years old and has every right to make her own decision as to who she wants to be with and the family and Dr. Phil needs to stop overdramatizing this situation. Just because the guy is middle eastern does not mean he is dangerous and I feel the family had lots of lies in regards to the way he treats her. It seems like they wanted to seem that he was the bad guy and they were the good ones. I dont like Dr.Phil and I think he should be sued and so should this family for having a racist hatred viewpoint.

There should be a charge for killing someone in front of a child, especially if the victim is someone the child is close to.

He's been to court twice. The first time was when they determined he would be tried as an adult, and the second was when his lawyer asked for a continuance. He's supposed to go back in couple of weeks, but there isn't anything saying when.

David you are right, but I was really focusing on pedophiles, because I feel that they are the worst predator on myspace.

trench, you bring up an excellent point. how are they going to determine who's an offender and who's not? Is it based on their name and birthday? It would not be hard for someone to create a profile with false information, as anyone who reads this or The Dead Kids of Myspace would know. I feel bad for this girl and everyone else that is falsely labeled a sex offender.

Shoot, even sex offenders don't want to be labeled as one, how would an innocent person feel?

I'm all for getting rid of these pedophiles, but how are they going to do this without making a persons attempts at creating a myspace profile nearly impossible to do without a lawyer, and signed notorized documents varifying a persons identity?

It was a good idea, not all that well thought out, and it will not solve the problem.

Well, I agree but at the same time that girl is using this as a way of making money too. My dad said he saw her on the cover of a paper a day or two after what happened and she was basically selling her story.

It IS a life.

There you go. Christianity is a way of life. A way of life in which you accept the truth of Jesus Christ: That he died for our sins and that by believing in him we don't have to pay for our screwiness but we become better people. Being a christian is letting this truth soak into every aspect of your being.

The news released today by the department of healthcare and family services means that by July 1, 2007 the Governor will have successfully enrolled two-thirds of the 450,000 children that were uninsured in the state when he took office.

The news also proves that the families who work hard and previously were falling through cracks because they made too much for state programs but too little to afford private insurance are taking the opportunity to enroll in this program. The need is clearly there.

And it is also clear that HFS new the need was there and that's why they budgeted enough to cover all 95,000 of these children expected to enroll in the next year.

While 40,000 of the new enrollments were from previously eligible categories, 5,000 kids who were uninsured and ineligible before July 1st now have health care!

So in 11 days the state is 10 percent of the way to meeting its enrollment goals for the entire 2007 fiscal year.

That seems sensible, steady and on target to me.

So let me get this straight...if you give and educated and informed response because you actually pay attention to the details of the program instead of rambling uniformed, proofless accusations - you clearly work for the Blagojevich campaign? I don't think so. The truth is too many are blinded by cynicism. There are 45 million people uninsured in this country and many of them are children. If you are uninsured, you perform poorly in schoolbecause you don't get the preventative care they need, your parents pay out of pocket and go broke if you have a medical program and even worse the privately insured (many of you!) have to keep paying thousands more every year in premiums to cover the cost of the uninsured and this program is a bad idea? Give me a break!

I grew up with a father who withdrew into himself after blowing up at everyone in the family, sometimes for days. I am now at the tail end of a relationship with a man who uses the silent treatment, as well (see a pattern here?!) I have to say I resent the comment about getting rid of women who harbour things - have you ever thought deeply about why women do this? Besides our biological makeup (and yes, there is a biological basis for women's ability to remember every little thing) it's due to frustration and an inability to get thru to the other person, who more often than not, refuses to communicate clearly. I can also offer insight into why men and women both might use the silent treatment -when they have been harangued for daring to open their mouths and express their displeasure with some aspect of the relationship - not necessarily in an inappropriate or nagging way, but in a way that seeks to solve the issue causing the displeasure - for instance, a partner who refuses to give you a straight answer to your direct question, or who refuses to try and improve communication skills. I oculd go on. These types of people seem to feel that any talk is arguing and any expression of frustration or displeasure is a reason to use silence and ostracism in order to exert control. The silent treatment is a controlling behavior, just as much as it is a passive aggressive method of expressing displeasure. It seems to often be used by people who grew up in disfunctional environments, in my experience. Clear, honest communication is one of the most important gifts two people can give each other, if they want their relationship to last.

its a shame that juicy became famous because of the awful terry cloth jumpsuits. they have such beautiful shoes and clothes in their line, but a lot of people immediately write them off because of those 'juicy' across the butt sweats. they're missing out!

I grew up with two clawfoot bathtubs in our front yard. My Mom used them for planters, then modified goldfish tanks, then dog waterers, now they are just landmarks ("Yes, it's the house with the bathtubs in the front yard"). They each have their own concrete slab.

I love this! Pretty soon this will be me with an almost two-year old and a less than two-week old when we travel to adopt our second baby.

I'm planning to use my wrap (5 yards tie-dyed crinkle cotton) and a home-made thick jersy pouch. I hope it works out. I'm a little worried about all the inevitable stares.

I should practice with Amanda on my back and a sack of potatoes in the pouch.

Hey, Brittany!

I don't usually de-lurk for much, but I certainly will for homeschooling!

We homeschooled our boys for two years. Some of my best friends are homeschooling families. We had really great experiences with it and would still be homeschooling if it weren't for me going to school myself and having an awesome charter school that perfectly fits our needs nearby for the boys.

Our boys were 5th and 6th grades the years we homeschooled. They are step brothers and both in 7th this year.

We started our day at 7 a.m. and I kept a separate planner for each so they could highlight or check off the things they had done and see how each day looked for themselves. They were usually assigned the same work, it just helped to be able to keep up with it that they each had planners.

I gave them an order that they were to go through their studies because they had to share textbooks, but not a rigid time-schedule.

Our curriculum was rather hodge-podge. I found I'd like some things with some publishers and some with others, so I just took what I liked from each. My absolute favorite Science curriculum is Bob Jones. It kept the kids' interest so well. Abeka is good, but hard and sometimes confusing. I picked up some grammar, reading comprehension and spelling workbooks at Sam's (I was surprised they had things like that). Saxon was our favorite Math. It is hard and a bit dry, but the textbooks teach really well. For teaching to read, my good friend with 5 homeschoolers loves Explode the Code (as does my niece). One thing you should think about when purchasing curriculum is getting something that you can build on and pass down through your kids. We only had the two at the same level, so we didn't have to consider passing it on.

When I brought my kids home from public school, their hugest struggle was in writing. I discovered "Writing Strands" that taught them how to organize their thoughts and write really well. We loved it and now my kids have the highest grades in writing in their classes.

Be sure (like somebody said before) to check your state's laws and make sure you're in compliance. Also, just remember that each family is very different and you guys will have to figure out a groove for yourselves. Organize, organize, organize, but be flexible when you're dealing with the boys. It's a learning experience for everybody and I bet you'll absolutely love it!

A lot of homeschooling groups will have book-swaps and sales at the end of the year, so it'd be a gread idea to start checking locally for your curriculum. I don't know where you're at, but here we have a homeschool book fair once a year that is really awesome.

I couldn't agree more! I think you are making the right choice in putting your family first and I think all your loyal readers will completely understand. I think a lot of computer based things have become an obsession these days- ie- facebook, myspace, blogger, twitter etc. And I can admit when I get on the computer facebook and blogger are the first things I check- it's sad. Than again right now thats ok since my husband is deployed and I only have 2 puppies to care for. Once my husband is back from deployment I too think my blogging will be put on pause for awhile while we begin to start our family. I'll miss reading your stories and looking at your beautiful pictures!

I don't have any kids but I do have some ideas!

You could have them make playdoh! I'm sure the recipe is online. Most of the kinds are edible too!

There's also always making homemade ice cream- we use to make it in girl scouts when you roll a coffee can back and forth!

Make instruments out of household items? Although that might get loud! (Ex-long tissue box with rubber bands and a paper towel holder attached at end- guitar!)

Have them make a book! You could write the words out, they could draw the pictures!

Get some plain white onesie's and have them decorate them for the baby! And they could make shirts for themselves saying I'm the Big Brother and so forth and decorate them.

Those are just some things I could think of at the top of my head! Hope one works for you!

My husband and I are huge Tudor fans. We watched the entire first season on DVD in about 3 days after he graduated from Ranger School and we PCSed while Season 2 started, luckily we were able to get Showtime on Demand and you can watch all the episodes you've missed and you don't have to wait until 10pm the night the show airs to watch it! We use to cheat and watch it real early in the day. And the show is a bit Risque, season 2 is probably more Risque than the first. We're curious how long the show will run, and if they'll go through all of his wives and continue with the children or what.

If you like The Tudors, you might like Rome as well.

I think we can view Millennials in the workplace vs. Boomers in the workplace a lot like we can view Millennials in high school vs. Boomers in high school.

When most Boomers were in high school, an ambitious Boomer made As and Bs, had chores around the house, might have worked an after school job at a local burger joint or at a friend of a parents' store, and probably participated in a sport or club or two.

An ambitious Millennial in high school looked more like this: straight A's in IB and AP courses, where they are getting college credit, five different extra-curriculars (and probably the president of at least one of them), after-school programs to boost SAT scores, active in sports programs, volunteers on weekends, and probably works at an unpaid but prestigious internship over the summer.

Is it any wonder our generation expects more? We've been pushed to the limits of our abilities since we could stand. And while, yes, while we were younger there was definitely an "everyone gets a trophy" attitude from our parents, by the time most of us got through middle school, that attitude had turned into preparing us for cut throat competition from other people our age who were just as well prepared. We WANT to work, to take on responsibility not just so we can make a lot of money and get special privileges, but also because we want to stay competitive. I think it's ridiculous that so many older employers have all this talent and desire on their hands, and they waste it because it's too much of a hassle for THEM. Who's lazy now, Mr. Drawing-my-paycheck-til-I-can-retire?

Sorry...this hits some serious hot button issues for me. >.<

I'd have to see your template to figure out how to do that because I really have no idea how the new blogger works. If it really bugs you, you could always put (minus the spaces) at the start of each post which would give you what you want, you just have to do it for EVERY post. < />< />http://www.goer.org/HTML/intermediate/align_and_indent/ this should help with the indenting. You just need to pick through your template and put the right bits in the right places.

I dont have much growing room on my balcony, but my Dad has had a massive glut of Damsons. He has already made jam with 14kilos of the fruit, and sent me back up on the train to Leeds with another 2kg to make into damson gin and brandy, and there is still another 50 or 60 kilos left on the tree! It seems a shame to let it rot, but how many damsons can you really eat!

I am on the anti Starbucks camp... if Im going to spend over £2 on a coffee I much rather spend it on a coffee that has been properly made, and where all of the profit goes to the shop staff/ owner, contributing to the local economy.

People that complain that Starbucks has taken over and that coffee shops have no soul need to make the effort to go and find and independent shop and then support it!

(It just shows how much they have taken over when my spell checker recognises the Starbucks brand name as I type!)

Oh and your right, Opposite are amazing, these guys really really do care about their coffee, you will struggle to find a better drink than theirs in the city centre!

Eating out is one of my favourite pass times too however I cannot run to save my life, so well done to you!

I think mushy peas are artificially bright green like that because the canning process otherwise turns them grey. The only way to get around that is to make the mushy peas from scratch which they obviously don't do.

Fish and chips are very nutritious, but that is not why I eat them!

I love Eggs Benedict! I had a version on holiday made with smoked salmon and ducks eggs. It is the best indulgent breakfast in bed breakfast! Yum!

I cant stand peanuts or peanut butter unless it is combined with chocolate or tonnes of sugar. I love making cookies with Peanut butter. I wish I had a helper like yours tho, I have to bake all by myself :(

What an interesting sounding book. I know what you mean about good reliable cookbooks. My grandma had a really old cookbook which was really useful for old fashioned pies, soups, puddings and stews. I used it loads then my mum threw it out thinking it was old tat, I was heartbroken!

I use nothing but one very large, expensive, sharp chefs knife. It took a while to convince a slightly unnerved Liam that this was the best thing to use, but now he is totally converted. We have a set of cheapy Ikea knives that came as part of our 'fully furnished' flat. It is those we use to hack at frozen items/ perform minor DIY tasks.

Someone at my birthday party in November used my chefs knife to open a beer bottle and bent it at the tip. I was *mortified* fortunately the kind, clever people at Peter Maturi fixed it for me for a mere 3 quid.

I agree the best place to buy fish is the market, and what a bargain to get some for £2, fish is normally one of the more expensive things to buy.

It does look pretty exciting and novel, but it is expensive and I *hate* things that are over packaged even if it is recyclable card board. It is true, its really hard to get decent food in the work place. I work in the HOSPITAL and I always end up getting chocolate because the 'fresh' fruit looks so manky. Now thats health promotion for ya.

I use the tip of the cork screw and score a ring around the top. This may sound silly- but the bottle looks a bit naked without the foil!

The emo kids have moved their way down onto the river banks and the little yard behind Livebait where the craft market is held.

I think financial aspect has a lot to do with this, but also I think there has been a loss of trust in Zurich- if I was a small independent retailer I wouldn't want to put my business in their hands after what they did to the last tennants.

Great illustration. Makes me want to leave the paper work on my desk and go play. I keep trying to get fired, but I work with the state. Besides, who else would put up with their uneducated ideas about what graphic design should really look like.
