From what I've read Google isn't making a phone, they released Android which is an open source OS if I'm not mistaken. Companies will have to create phones that either already have it installed or give us the ability to install it ourselves. There was a youtube video floating around showing it off on a Nokia. Pretty sweet.

Blip.tv is incredible. They have been so helpful with getting my vlog up and off the ground. Revver looks very cool and like they have their shit together, but to be honest it looks like just a better looking, better ran, more professional YouTube. Blip.tv does not put their label on anything of yours. They use the same flash player that I was using before I went with them. However all the video services out there esentially do the same thing, host video. It just all depends on your needs and what you look for in a host. I'm not taking anything away from revver, but BLIP.TV FOR LIFE!!

Our needs seem to be very similar. I bought the T-Mobile Dash thinking that with windows on it and windows media player I would have more options. I haven't really tried anything with it just yet. Still getting comfortable with as a phone. Did setup an email address on it and seeing how I like that. Do I want alerts when I get an email, or do I want to just be able to check it randomly? I plan on doing a full review on my site once I've tested everything.

The same thing can be said for YouTube. There are better sites and services out there but they've captured a large group of people and have become the THE place to be for videos. MySpace is the same way. They've grabbed a hold of a very large group of people and no matter if MySpace evolves or not, it will take a lot for everyone to use a different service. I think it's funny how live video is all of a sudden "the thing". Web cams have been out for long time and mine has been live for over 2 years. But I guess it's the natural progression. I'm curious though if video blogs are starting to fizzle out. With blips new player it allows you to have one player for all your videos. No need to post a new video each time. Let's see what happens.

I'm lazy. I'll skim the first few sentences and if it doesn't seem interesting I skip it. Audio is kinda new to me but I really like it because I can multi task and it seems to sink in very well. Video is my obvious favorite because it, as you said, connects me the best with the person of said blog. With that being said, they have to be somewhat entertaining. Their facial expressions, their mannerisms, the excitement they bring to what they are saying. They all have to be there somewhat or as with the text I stop listening.
I think audio is probably the neutral ground for me. It just seems like in the blogger world it's the least used, at least with the blogs I subscribe to.

I think two things do it for me. One, it has to connect me to the person. Usually a person I'm already interested in. But if it's the first one I've seen of there's then hopefully it grabs me enough to subscribe to.
The second thing that a video could have to really get my attention is capturing a moment. So many great videos are made when someone just happen to have a camera out at that exact moment. Whether it something planned or something just happened by accident; 5 secs to 5 mins it's all about whats going on at that moment.

Those are the two types of videos that make me bookmark, fav it, share it. It's what I strive for with everyone of my videos I put out.

Twitter is STILL my favorite site/community on the web. I love following people that I either know or wish to know. The best part about twitter is the sms functionality. I LOVE Twitter. I am totally addicted to it. At one time I read every tweet that came across my screen. When I was on the road I got them to my phone. When I woke up the next day I went back and read everything from my last tweet. Now I follow too many people to do that and most of those people update quite often.
What I love about Twitter is the simple communication it gives you to the ones I'm interested in. I know what your doing, what your interested in, what updates you've made to your various sites, and just know what might be new and exciting in not only your life but the web.
I use it to say what I'm doing at the moment; to update those that follow me on new videos/photos/blog posts that I have posted; and ask questions to a group that I respect and want their opinion on. The fact that I can get the updates in various ways also makes it that much more enjoyable. Mobile is key for me.
But one of the vital parts is the participation of everyone else. If no one was using it then it wouldnt be fun at all. The community is what drives this tool, and I love everyone of you.

I think this the big missing piece of the social networking puzzle. There are a few tools out there like Groovr that allow you to put a location on yourself but its one of those that no one knows about or uses enough to really get value out of it. If people stated implementing location tools into their social tools I think it would be a huge deal. I know I would love it.

My kids are totally on the same path. Sierra already thinks she can watch any cartoon at any time and that when a camera is out she asks if its a picture or video. I'm engrossed in the digital world and it's invedible that my kids will be the same, only at a much earlier age. I'm 25 now and didn't get my first pc until I was 18. Sierra will be surfing the web by the time she's 4 I'm sure.

I have said it a million times, I love twitter. It's by far my favorite social tool. I follow 3 types of people: friends, local people, and people I find interesting or find me interesting. That last one I guess could be split into two but I classify it as "interest". If someone @'s me on something I say or has commented on my blog via a tweet I sent then they obviously want to have a convo with me, so I follow. I currently follow 204 people and It's its rare that I see things in their that I don't like or care about. Keep on Tweetin yo!

Comments are one of the best parts of a blog. It allows us to talk with people we would normally never get to talk to. It also allows us to express our thoughts on what it is they are talking about. And finally it just lets someone know you were there and to me that's just as big as the words they put down. Comments make the blog go round.

I currently rock a T-Mobile Dash and love it. It was a toss up between it and the blackberry pearl (at the time). I went with the Dash for mobile IE and window media player. But now that it's been over a year since I've had it, the media player wasn't as important as most web video is either flash or QT, which neither will play. So really, the only complaint I have is the video size that it records at. I wish it were of the same quality as the Nokia's.

For my next phone? Well I just figured out that the 8gb iPhone is the same price as my 16gb Touch that I just got and confirmed that I can get it to work with T-Mobile, so I might be trading in the Touch for one of those. Otherwise I was looking at getting T-Mobile's Wing. It's a touch screen, full keyboard flip out, windows mobile phone. But I'm in no hurry. I just love having everything on my mobile.

I'm curious how it all pans out. I'm sure some will unfollow as soon as the auction is over if they haven't already. Others will stick around to see how the new owner uses the account. Aside from all of the hype of the sale, I'm sand that Andrew no longer wishes to use Twitter for personnel use. I love following friends and people I'm interested in. So the fact that he is leaving all together is the part that bothers me. But I still have him in other places. We'll see.
