Wow MarkLowder guess you are the typical bloger who blogs with out knowing what they are talking about. Yes Washington does have special requirements for younger drivers. Its called an Intermediate License. First of all the teenage driver has to complete a driver’s safety class. After that they have restrictions for the first year of the license. Which include no passengers less than 21 years of age and no driving from 1am to 5am. This information can be found on the Washington DOL web site. Sure would be great if all these blogers would get informed before they blog.

I was a teenager when I got my first license, so I obviously know about Learner's Permits and Intermediate Licenses. I didn't mean that there weren't other restrictions regarding their driving activities. So I may have stated it poorly, but my point was that ANYONE getting a license for the first time is required to take a test and that once someone has a license, "re-testIng" is never required based solely on age. I was referring to the post above mine which seemed to indicate that only young drivers are tested and that perhaps they are required to "re-test" because of their age (since that was the implication for "older" drivers). Neither case is true. Perhaps you might tone down the hostility and personal attacks next time, LOL.
