in Super Smooth Surfaces in SolidWorks: How to Create the 3G iPhone on SolidSmack
Excellent method, but the surface fill produces small wrinkles. The curvature also isn't continuous over many of the transitions. Both issues can be seen using view -> display -> curvature.

in One Week From Now: SolidWorks 2009 MADNESS on SolidSmack
Will 09 be more stable and have fewer bugs? Please say yes!

Yes. there I said it. :) I imagine this will be subjective, because even though I've run versions that are 'more stable' there's always someone that is having really bad issues that are not always software related. I will attempt to show how it is or isn't more stable. If there's a specific are, like large assembly or sheet metal, that you're wondering about, let me know.

in The 7 Best SolidWorks Keyboard Tricks on SolidSmack
My keyboard may be fully mapped, but why stop there? My favorite trick is fairly unknown - alt key sequences. No custom settings required!
Press the first key combo, release and sequentially hit the next letter(s). Roll your hand into it and you can do it as quick as hitting a cord on the piano.
Alt+F,A = Save As
Alt+F,1 = most recent document
Alt+H,A = About SW (find what version you have)
Some favorite windows sequences:
Right click on desktop,W,F = Create New Folder
Right click on desktop,R,CTRL+SHIFT+TAB = Display Properties
Right click on my computer,G = Management Console
Right click on taskbar,K = Task Manager
Richt click on a item in the taskbar,C = close task
What I really love about these is how quick they are. You don't have to click on something precisely, you can just get close and choose the options you need with the left hand.
It helps to show underlined shortcut keys by default - right click on the desktop,R,C,CTRL+SHIFT+TAB,CTRL+SHIFT+TAB,Alt+E,Shift+Tab,Shift+Tab,Shift+Tab,spacebar, enter

in 3 Quick Tip Note Tricks for Your Finger Tips on SolidSmack
you can also align notes to each other easily as i just learned from solid professor. grab the note in the middle, left, or right, and drag near alignment with another note. which part of the note auto aligns (middle, left, or right) is dependent on where you grab the note. neat!
