At 41, with an art teacher for a mother (and a father who forbid me taking classes), I am finally getting to art school. yeaaa, me!

Yes, yes, yes to what everyone's already said: intuitive care, little help around the house -- without me having to ask-- especially with our son. And space space space. oo-- and support, support, listening, and support!

Before I even saw my mom's posting, I was thinking, "Maybe we could move from our house..." seems this is a financial and time-consuming burden, especially for my husband. Releasing it may give him breathing room and make him happier.

"Sell, baby, sell!" That's what I'd say to anyone, but you are my mom and that was my house... tough when it's your own backyard! You have to do what's best for you and Dad, and that sounds like letting go of a place that you've honored, cared for beautifully, and thoroughly enjoyed for nearly half a century. Make life easier. You deserve it. xoxo (we could have a party!)

Dump him. Go to L.A. Quit that job. Don't get tied down. Find a way to laugh more. Be creative in any way you can. And work your body! It's awesome. (p.s. lol about the yellow jacket!)

Signed our (I'm-so-excited!) screenwriter, got my family to Costa Rica for a real vacation, and met with a counselor about art classes! I am on a roll!

Along with Joslyn's idea of valuing mothers, I want parenting as a whole to change. Just because you are a woman does NOT mean you have to stay home. Men, it's time to step up to the plate! (crash, crash, tinkle, tinkle!)

Nothing lofty or spiritual here: I'm obsessed with shopping. I've spent more money on myself this year, acquiring well-made, beautiful pieces that I love. Total 180 from my norm: Target!

My husband -- to love more openly, with passionate abandon. Daily.
My friends -- to cry more and fall on the floor laughing.
