I still have yet to use any of the social networking sites, pretty much for the reasons you listed above. I also just can't see them benefiting my online business much and have yet to hear of people who do see results from using them.

Social media is getting out of hand. What ever happend to face to face communcation, like we used to have before phones, email, text messages, and now social media? I'm really getting pretty sick of it.

Why does everything always have to become a race issue? Black or white, his actions are completely indefensable-the police were just doing their job.

Sounds like an interesting service, I especially like that you can put the posts on your own site. Of course, this begs the question: what do they get out of it?

Nice to know someone who actually made money with social media. I'm not saying it doesn't work, just that I haven't heard many people giving proof it's working for them. To me, good old SEO and PPC are still the best ways to make money online.

This is the way to keep customers. Sounds like a great company, although I have found liquidweb to be just as good.

I think the biggest thing is having a system in place that runs without you being there. This is where the real value of the business lies, otherwise, you are the business.

Excellent points. Even if your site doen't actually allow comments from vistors, you still need to clearly explain the benefits in it for them for buying your product.

All too many businesses get conusmed with bragging about how long they've been in business, their past awards, etc, when the reality is, prospects don't care about this, all they want to know is what's in it for them.

Very true, I've generally heard that with email lists, you should write about 3 informative emails that don't sell anything for every one that's selling something.

Either way, the most important thing is to build up trust and then sell something, which your tips would accomplish.

I've heard that success feels like failure 90% of the time, and this can often be the case, because the reality is, we see profits from a very small percentage of our efforts.

I believe it's Dan Kennedy that says to fail as fast as possible, because there's no getting around it, and the faster you fail the faster you will find the winners. Anyway, great post.

Very informative post, it's amazing how many applications marketing has besides just getting more business.

Tim, very interesting post. Just one quick question-do these same principles apply to other workouts such as vertical jump training. With mine, no weights are invovled, just leg exercises.

When I say these principles, I mean doing only one set, going until point of muscle failure, rest 3 minutes between sets, only working out 2-3 times per week, etc? I don't do weight training, and I'd be very interested if it could be applied to vertical jump training.

The video works, you just have to wait awhile.

It might be nice, except that it would be tempting to check them ALL the time. I find that once a week for handling my budget and bank balance works just fine.

It drives me nuts when businesses stray from their core competence and try to appeal to everybody. You can be sure anybody going to KFC is not into vegan food and there already are more than enough vegan restaurants and stores out there, so just leave well enough alone.
