I'd read about it but didn't think it could be all that good, I never really rated her acting much, but it is very very strong.

Hi James,
I've come across almost all of these thanks to them following the NHS Choices accounts, which I run. I'm assume that a fake account wouldn't follow other NHS organisations.

I'll try DMing all of these listed and finding a contact. I don't know if you have access to NHS Comms Link which I mentioned to Huw above - it's aimed at NHS Trust comms staff and has a discussion forum. Some trusts have discussed Twitter but I think this is the only extensive list so far. I've mentioned it and if links to any more are posted, I'll put them up here. What I may do is edit the list above to indicate which accounts I've confirmed are run by the Trusts named.

I'm doing this in an entirely personal capacity, but I know at Choices we're trying to get much more involved in social media, maybe I'll raise the possibility of having an area on trust profile pages they can list their facebook and twitter profile... :)

in Using NHS for the First Time on TravelnWork
On the day you register its unlikely you'll get to see a doctor, more likely it'll be a health care professional, someone who takes your details and does stuff like blood pressure and then possibly will make an appointment if you need one.

Try calling NHS Direct on 0845 46 47 for advice, though they will probably tell you the same as what the doctor did.

travelnwork You were right! When I did register I didn't get to see the doctor, however the duty doctor did call me several hours later. He prescribe migraine tablets after listening to my symptoms over the phone. In the end the tablets didn't work...and the headache has at least temporarily subsided. At least I'm registered now and maybe next time will have a fighting chance of seeing the doctor on short notice.

Great, I've added you (put you in 'related organisations' rather than 'mental health trusts' as you're not specifically an NHS trust, are you?)

How silly of me - I'm sure I'm following their account with the Choices ones and have even retweeted something by it! I'll add it now, along with another one which just came through.

Thanks Huw. It's worrying that there's no way to verify an account, I had one follow a Choices account called NHSLondon which has been banned so I guess it was reported as being a fake.

Are you on NHS Comms Link? There's a thread in the Digital media clinic forum about twitter, a few of the Trusts listed above have posted about how they're using the service to promote their work.

Huw Edwards Yes I'm on Comms link so I'll check it out, thanks a lot.

in Watching Watchmen on Caspar Aremi
I think I'll invest in the book before watching it again and hope that clears things up for me! I think what confused me was they weren't like traditional superheroes with either fantastic tools (batman) or superhuman abilities (superman), it just looked like they were really good at martial arts. Things like Silk Spectre being old and retired and her daughter taking over weren't explained as far as I could see. The wikipedia article didn't clear things up either, hopefully the book will.

Awh i wish I could take credit but it came with my theme! When I get a minute I'm going to pop in some of my own. It's made me want to get a new camera though as it's been ages since I took proper photos!

I got it from Waitrose (and Ocado stock it too), I've also seen it in Whole Foods. Fresh & Wild have it (they have a shop in Soho, and one in Clapham) and I'm pretty sure Whole Foods Market has it (they're down in Kensington). Some of the larger normal supermarkets may sell it, but I'm not sure! It's lovely. I don't mind rasins but bought it anyway as some of the other stuff in it sounded yummy :)

Oh and also, I have never seen them before either! And it's only this one Tesco that I have spotted them. They're quite expensive, about £1.70 I think, but its nice to try different things occasionally! It's not something I'd buy every day though.

You eat the inside stuff, with a spoon. It's a bit like a melon but softer. I read you can eat the skin but considering its sold loose in the supermarket I don't much fancy that! It'd be hard to wash it properly as its got lots of curly bits on it. I should have taken another pic of the outside before I cut it, I think they're beautiful! It's a lovely red-pink colour.

I have nothing against them myself! It's just I liked some of the other ingredients in that pack. They had 3 varieties from Rude Health in Waitrose when I was there, one was this, the other was organic. i can't remember what the third one was. It is twice the price for half the amount you got of Waitrose own brand but absolutely delicious. And I do add lots of other fruit, mostly blueberries this week, or banana, and hopefully strawberries once the English ones are in season.

I keep reading that yoghurt on meusli is much better for you than milk and cereal but we'll see! I've gone all week without snacking so far, but i guess it'll be several more weeks of this before I actually see any results.

in Apple adds HD video donwloads for UK users on Apple TV Hacks
It's ridiculous. You can get a box set for half that price in the sales. If they'd price it to match current box set prices, I'd have bought several series on AppleTV rather than from HMV, but as it is, I'll usually watch a few eps on there to see if I like something, then go out and buy the DVD (with the exception being Gossip Girl, which I watched very slowly as I was only buying when I was bored and could find nothing else, and before I knew it I'd got to the end of the series!).

Come on Apple, negotiate some £15 offers for full series (and not 6 ep UK series!), it'll lead to a huge increase in sales on TV shows and probably AppleTV too. I've shown it to loads of friends who'd be interested if only content was cheaper when bought as a whole series.

in Kyte.tv goes 16:9 (video showing Opera’s latest now up) on Scobleizer
I think you hit upon the problem with HD - it's fantastic that all the big players support it now, but until they have systems in place making it easy to upload large file sizes, it only has limited usefulness to me. I don't want to have to upload videos split into several pieces! I'd rather stick to lower format video if that's the case.

in Untitled Document on The Spicy Cauldron
I've had problems with ATV since 2.2 but no sound issues and I use it a lot - almost constantly in fact (I dread to think how much I've spent on TV shows and movie rentals!). My issue is the menus are now extremley slow and jerky, often unresponsive on screen - you hear the clicks as the cursor moves, but it doesn't physically move on the screen. I've resorted to using my iPhone as a remote which seems like overkill (and can't access everything you can directly with the menus).
I did install Boxee but found it looked awful and wasn't all that useful, though I hear the latest version has iPlayer access which makes me want to reinstall it! Annoyingly, my only large usb stick was in my bag which was stolen at Christmas :(
