Was last night's episode of New Amsterdam the only one you've skipped? I haven't seen it yet, but I'm thinking of watching it online and giving it another shot. I still like the concept of it and I've already dumped a bunch of cop shows off my list so I'm thinking I could watch it if they can keep my attention.

Yeah, Dr. Green died of brain cancer, but the producers are saying they could bring him back in flashbacks or a sort of "lost" episode that would presumably involve all the actors who would have been in it the year it supposedly happened.

Clooney has said publicly that he isn't necessarily opposed to the idea since his office is only like 20 feet from where they shoot the show. He still maintains contact with most of the people there. He doesn't know how he could do it or how he could fit it in exactly, but didn't dismiss it as a possibility.

I pretty much stopped watching it this past year, but I think I'd be pretty interested if they started working in stories involving the old characters. Of course, it would have to make some kind of sense.

Most of the people who left the show wanting to do bigger and better things haven't done anything much since leaving. Everyone say Clooney become this huge star and thought they could do the same. It didn't work out for most of them.

I watched this week's episode of New Amsterdam online and I thought it was pretty good. So far I like the show. They did more of the show in the past this week, doing a sort of parallel story. I thought it worked well.

I think this proves my point about the new Juliana Margulies show:

"Canterbury's Law" (7.7 million, 1.7/5) was Fox's lowest-rated premiere on record in the 8 p.m. Monday time period. The time change may have been a factor in the small viewer turnout for the show, but "Law" fared worse than its competition in the hour, finishing fourth among the major broadcast networks.

I wasn't as impressed with Casey in "Gone Baby Gone" (a film that I loved, by the way) because I felt that he was playing his real life self (or a version of himself) in many ways. I thought he was good, but not great. I was glad that I saw that film before seeing "Jesse James" because it really allowed me to see two completely different sides to his abilities within a short period of time (having seen the movies around the same time). The work he did in "Jesse James" was so far beyond what he did in "Gone Baby Gone"...I don't even know what to say about it.

I don't think Ramiele is as talented as some of the other contestants. I think she's really cute and I wish her luck...but she's not going to win this contest. Sorry.

What will end up happening is what always happens when companies start doing stupid stuff like this. Other, smarter, people will find ways to hack the systems (DVRs and whatnot) to break their controls and those of us brave enough or angry enough will have to use those hacks to get what we feel should rightfully be ours. I'm not saying I would do that, of course...

This is the sort of thing that will keep downloaded movies from becoming the #1 way of renting movies. This is the reason people like my parents won't ever learn how to use their DVR.

And yes, they will find a way to stop people from skipping over commercials. That's a guarantee. In fact, TIVO, I think it is, already has commercials that play over the fast forwarding of the commercials you're trying to skip.

I'm with Mike on the HBO thing. If I'm paying extra for the channel I certainly don't expect to get less than I would with other networks.

The reason people love DVRs so much is precisely because they can record and then watch whenever they want. If you take that away you take away half the value of having a DVR.

If you take away the ability to skip commercials you take away the other half. I couldn't own a DVR if I couldn't skip commercials. I'd record more shows than I could humanly watch. And if I can't watch them faster than I could by watching them on regular TV...there wouldn't be much point.

Well, it was completely expected, but it still sucks. I've enjoyed this show pretty much from day one. This season was a lot different from last year, but I still enjoyed where they've taken the story. It stinks to think of all the other crap that stays on the air while good shows get canceled.

I tried it cold turkey and did okay for a while. I wasn't brave enough to stop my season pass, though, so I fell off the wagon and watched a few more episodes... I eventually stopped recording it and broke the cycle that was tearing me and my family apart.

Yeah, there's still plenty of interest and plenty of fan support to make it a hit show on a cable network. In some ways, CBS probably helped Jericho's cause, as far as getting picked up by a cable network, when they drastically cut their budget this season. The Jericho creative team was able to show that they could still make the tough decisions they needed to make (such as cutting loose sets and cast members) yet still keep the show entertaining for the audience. It's an important thing to remember because cable shows usually don't have quite the budgets that network shows do. It could make the show a lot more attractive to someone like Sci-fi.

I only made it through about the first 25 minutes before I had to stop it for some reason. Unfortunately, someone (and I'm not naming any names) took the movie back before I finished watching the rest of it so I can't yet give a full opinion on it.

I'm hoping it got a lot better than the first 25 minutes, though. The kid didn't seem very bright.

Dude, you cannot possibly be comparing Unhitched to...well, anything else that's on TV. Unhitched doesn't even have the same production values as a regular sitcom. I'll admit there's a lot of crappy ones, but you picked one of the worst to try to watch them again...they never stood a chance.

Yeah, good point. I never thought about the fact that all of the sitcoms you do watch are uniquely voiced. You might like "How I Met Your Mother." It's sort of atypical in the way they format it...not as different as The Office or Arrested Development, but not completely "normal" either.

@MadFan - If you were a regular reader of this site you would know that I was once a fan of this show and stopped watching it when it became so stupid that I could no longer justify spending my valuable time on it. My partner in crime here at Pop Critics, Mike, still watches the show.

The point I was making in telling people to stop watching it is the point I made in the above article - if we keep watching crap, they'll keep making crap. Meanwhile, quality shows are being ignored by audiences and canceled because no one is watching them.

I stand by my statement. People should stop watching this show that has lost all credibility with viewers.

I'm not saying that I could actually resist those tortures in "real life." I'm saying I could resist those tortures as they were portrayed in the film. They simply didn't look or come across (emotionally) as being very extreme. Perhaps it was the rating of the film or just the overall mood of the movie...I'm not really sure. I just didn't feel as though the character were suffering the gross injustice that I obviously should have felt.

As for the questioning... I disagree. The man is from Egypt and is a world traveler who has contacts all over the globe. He should have been more forthcoming with information especially once they started asking about specific people. If he were really innocent there was no reason not to speak candidly about who he talked to and when he had talked to them. I think the screenplay could have done a much better job of making this man appear more innocent by making him appear to cooperate more. His complete cooperation would have won my sympathy and would have completely changed my opinion of the film.

Well, Steve, I think I'm just mad at Prison Break because I used to watch it then they started getting all crazy with it and it made me mad.

I certainly don't come out against every show that I think is a complete waste of time - and there are plenty that are. I respect everyone's right to watch whatever they want (I personally love Survivor). I just wish more people would watch the "good" shows before they get canceled.

Long story archs have hurt more than one show. Stargate SG-1 is a good example. The show was much better, in my opinion, in the first couple of seasons when the team spent more time exploring new worlds and much less time dealing with neverending story archs. I still hate the Replicators.

I see your point and I understand the point they were trying to make. I just feel like they failed to make the emotional connection they needed to make in order to make the film work.

They did try to cover some of the basis by having characters talk about the polygraph and such. I just didn't connect to this character in the slightest. I'm sure if I was someone who was in a similar situation as that character (foreigner living in America, married to a citizen, etc.) I would empathize. However, I'm not in that situation so I just kept thinking that he should just tell them everything and anything that might possibly be important...but then, I guess that's the point of the movie.

I still didn't think it was very effective filmmaking.

I think it's entirely possible to watch a film about someone's killer and still not humanize the killer so much that we forget what they did. Even if the film attempts to explain why the dude killed Lennon, it doesn't mean that we, as an audience, have to buy into the explanation or that we must somehow forget the deed.

Well, you may be right. But then, it's possible they could portray him as a Hannibal Lecter where we learn about the character and try to understand him but are never really asked to feel sorry for him or excuse his actions. You never know.

I disagree with you about the camera work, which I really like, but I completely agree with you on the timeslot issue. I don't know how much it will help the show by being on DirectTV first, but I think showing it in January, after football season, and in a better timeslot would go a LONG way towards making this show a hit.

@Rob O. - I think I liked Syesha's performance because she did change the song and tailor it to fit her voice. I think we should keep in mind that this girl was pretty young when Whitney's version came out. I thought she did a really good job making it her own.

@MichaelB - I understand the point you are making and it is valid. However, I stand by my statement that networks are stupid (that is, the people who make the decisions at the networks). There is ample evidence to support my statement.

I think "Friday Night Lights" is a great example. FNL is a program that should appeal to the prime target audience that advertisers crave. It's based on a best selling book and a hit movie and features a who's who of up and coming young stars and recognizable adult actors. The writing was compelling with stories that center around family, high school and football (America's favorite sport). The show received critical acclaim from day one.

So what did the network do? It scheduled it to air on Friday nights...during high school football season...when a majority of the people who the show would appeal to would either not normally be watching TV or would not be watching TV because instead of watching a television show about Friday night football they are actually participating in Friday night football.

That's the very definition of stupid.
There's just no excuse for it.

That wasn't a case of the advertisers saying the show had to appear on Friday nights. If so, the network should have stepped in and explained to the advertisers the ignorance of the demand. Yes, they could do that if they really wanted to.

This was just a case of the network being stupid and then wondering why no one was watching their show.

And I'm sure there are plenty of other examples.

Now, Mike, I didn't say she dressed like a clown...even if that red blouse she wore a week or two was a little "clown" like.

I think Carly sings certain things very well. When she tries to hit some specific notes, however, I think her voice goes into some kind of tone that disagrees with me or something. I just don't care for it.

And I don't care for the way she looks. I've said all along that she should cover up her tattoos and speak as little as possible if she wants to win. I'm not trying to be mean. I'm just stating what I think would help her get votes.

Well, we certainly don't intend to offend anyone, especially a loyal reader, but I feel that I have valid arguments upon which I have based my previous statement.

Perhaps I should amend it so that instead of saying the "networks are stupid" I could say that the networks sometimes make decisions that the average person often feels is asinine when viewed from a layman's perspective...?

I still feel my original argument is valid, though. They can make all the shows they want and do whatever the advertisers say and put the shows at whatever times and include whomever the advertisers want to pay them to include...but at the end of the day they still have to get someone to watch the show. The advertisers can make all the demands in the world and the networks can bow down to their every whim, but if people don't watch the show then the advertisers will walk without thinking twice.

Which is why I encourage people to stop watching crappy shows and encouraging this sort of behavior. The problem is, of course, one person's crappy show is another person's "must see TV". How else to explain all the Flavor Flav and New York whatever shows?

I've seen a lot of the episodes from Enterprise but I didn't see much from the last few seasons so I've been thinking of sitting down and watching the whole series in order. So, I guess Star Trek: Enterprise would be my pick.

Well, Cap'n, I agree that Brooke is in some serious danger tonight. However, I think Carly will be the one that goes instead. Carly is less likable and her song appeals to a smaller audience.

I obviously disagree about Jason Castro.

I think you have a good point about David A. Normally, I'd suggest that he take some chances and show us more of what he's got. But at this point, he'd actually be kind of stupid to take a chance and stray too far from what he's been doing. As it is, he's on the fast lane to the finals. Why mess with that?

I can see how one might put Jason Castro and David A in the same boat as far as how they sing their same style every single week and never really go out on a limb. That's a fair comparison. I like Jason better...but that's just me.

I don't think that Jason's version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" was exactly like the Iz version. I think Jason made some subtle changes that fit his style a little more and it worked really well.

David Cook's performance this week was a disaster. A glorious failure for sure...but a failure nonetheless.

I have to agree with Jina completely. I too find myself wanting the shake-ups to come from the contestants whose styles I don't really care for (David A) much more than those whose style I like (Jason C).

However, as much as I would like to see David do something different (and yes, he does sound like a cold and he does sound nasally), I think David A should probably keep doing what he's doing (as I mentioned previously) while Jason C needs to shake it up if he wants to have a chance at winning.

The Christian song was a little surprising simply because the producers actually embraced it. The show itself has a long history of performers who have a Christian background and went who have since gone on to careers in the Christian music industry. This season alone we've seen several songs that could certainly be labeled religious.

As for the disappointment of seeing Michael Johns leave...well...the show must go on...(Carly Smithson pun intended)

@Ape - If I had to guess, I'd say that the producers just now woke up and realized that a huge chunk of their audience is a Christian audience who have been supporting the Idol contestants for a long time now. Playing to that audience is a good way to ensure the ratings stay up (and I'm sure the openly Christian Jonas Brothers were probably involved in the decision as to what song they sung).

Mike, I haven't seen the movie yet, but I read the book at your suggestion. From the previews, however, they show one of the girls having the vine inside her... That's not exactly a "minor" change from the plot of the book. That's a fundamental shift of the entire plot because it changes the dynamics of the four students and their characters. Did it not make a difference in the movie?

@Zach - You must be watching a different idol than the rest of us. As far as I know, Carly hasn't been singing country and Syesha hasn't been doing gospel...

Your ranting is meaningless as this happens every single season. Idol doesn't pick anyone so it's pointless for people to get mad at the show. America isn't ignorant; they just have very defined tastes. If you read my article you'll see that I explain how it is that Michael came to get kicked off of American Idol. It was his own fault.

Most of the people on the show now are talented. You can't just perform well and expect to win. You have to know the audience that watches the show and the audience that will like you and you have to build a niche for yourself. Anyone who hasn't figured that out by now doesn't deserve to win.

Michael didn't win over the rock niche that he was trying to fit in (David Cook won over that crowd) so he was left without a voting block. Even if Michael had tried to switch to a blues niche or something he likely would have met the same fate. He never really had a chance once David started doing well and he lagged behind.

I'm sort of thinking along the same lines as Jina here. Just seeing the previews is enough to make us think of his death. Seeing him in a body bag, especially now, really might take us out of the moment which destroys the scene anyway. They might have to think about recutting the scene somehow.

I think the thing here is that this movie shows kids who were the best high school basketball players in the country at the time. At least some of them are bound to go on to achieve success in the higher ranks. That in itself will make this movie worth watching...especially in about ten years.

Well, I know why they did it (as I explained in the article), but I don't think it was necessary. I think they could have come up with a storyline involving a new ship and a new crew that takes place during the years of ST:TNG that people would have gone to see. I mean, put them in a few battles (real battles) and spend $160M on the movie and it's gonna be pretty sweet.

I just wanted to make you think it's not that good so you won't have your hopes up when you watch it because when you get your hopes up really high no matter how good a movie is it can never seem to live up to your expectations and I would hate for you to watch Juno and think it's not that good because everyone's been saying how great it is and it is good but it's not like the best movie ever made so I don't want you going in thinking that it is and then watching it and thinking it's not the best movie ever made and wondering why everyone raved so much about it because it wasn't nearly as good as you thought it was going to be. I wouldn't want that.

@Kory - I don't dispute the fact that Bourne can kick butt. He deserves to be in the bad ass contest. But we're talking about action HEROES here. Having seen the Bourne films, I wouldn't classify him as a hero...he's done some bad things. Now I'm not certain that Indy is exactly a HERO either but at the end of the day he does the right thing for the right reason...good enough for me.

Unfortunately, before he can finish his sentence Jack has disarmed him and beaten Dirty Harry to death with his own gun. Jack then cuts off his head as a warning to other Harry family members who get in his way. Advantage Bauer.

I gotta go with Kirk against Chan. Chan begins to make his move but Kirk begins speaking in his slow, halting, melodramatic manner, confusing Chan. Chan, trying to understand what is being said, is mesmerized, giving Kirk time to attack Jackie Chan with a two pronged attack of the "Jim Kirk," double clasped hammer fist technique, followed quickly by the Vulcan Death Grip to Jackie's neck. If Kirk can beat the Commando, Jackie never had a chance.

Well, actually The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe which ended up grossing almost $292M was released on December 9, 2005 and went up against November holdovers Chicken Little ($135M), Jarhead ($62M), Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire ($290M), Walk The Line ($119M), Yours, Mine & Ours ($53M), Syriana ($50M), as well as other December releases King Kong ($218M), Hoodwinked ($51M), Cheaper By the Dozen 2 ($82.5M), Fun With Dick and Jane ($110M), Memoirs of a Geisha ($57M), and January releases Big Momma's House 2 ($70M) and Nanny McPhee ($47M). I'd say it had a little competition.

The hype on that movie was huge and it held up well against stiff competition and for many weeks. This summer will be harder on the sequel, but there is potentially more money to be made in a shorter period of time if they can get people into the theater.

Yeah, it's hard for a show that doesn't know for sure when it's going to end to do a great ending. BSG and Lost are the exception and not the rule. They are lucky to know exactly when they will be ending and are able to build the show to the ultimate climax of the series. It sucks for us, the fans, but in the end it'll be much better for us too knowing that it's going to end.

Solo, however, will treat Norris like he does Greedo in Star Wars and will shoot him dead before Norris is able to call for backup from his non-existent radio. Han Solo wins.

Rambo is at first hesitant to attack Jason Bourne, but once the decision has been made to go to war he will go full force. Unfortunately, this entails spending a lot of time trying to get his bandana to tie around his head just right. Bourne offers to help, but instead uses the bandana to strangle Rambo to death and then break his neck...just for good measure. Bourne wins again.

@R.A. - Nice try, but you're missing the obvious outcome of that exchange. Rambo will try to shoot Bourne will his AK-47, but Bourne will do that thing he does where he moves his hand really fast and disarms you before you even know what has happened. He will do this so fast that the gun, already having had its trigger pulled, will actually unload on Rambo, because Bourne will now be holding it and pointing it at Rambo's face.

@Ape - You're right, he's not Greedo. He's much, much older. And slower.

Jackie Chan is able to stay in the fight long past the time we expected him to fold. This is due, not to a superior fighting style, but rather the fact that he keeps running and bouncing off walls so much that Captain Kirk simply cannot catch him.

Chan attempts to defeat Kirk by tossing random items of furniture at the Captain but Kirk easily dodges these fast moving projectiles despite the fact that he has a lady on one arm and is wearing a newly starched uniform. The fight continues...

But you see Robert, the problem is, different people have different ideas of what constitutes a "bad ass." Some people think Jackie Chan is a bad ass because he has superior martial arts skills. A valid point. However, others think that Captain Kirk is a bad ass because even though he doesn't possess great fighting skills he still has several signature moves, is quite the ladies man, and always wins at the end of the day. That's why we are voting. To see which view prevails in the end.

I agree, Jina. I'm not exactly a fan of David A either. He can sing really well, but they definitely have been soft on him about breaking out of his shell.

As for them telegraphing their favorites...well, this isn't exactly the first time that's happened. They pretty much do the same thing every season.

Ripley and The Bride face off in a heated duel of warrior women. The Bride attempts to strike first but is quickly pushed back by the blazing barrel of Ripley's M41A pulse rifle. The Bride moves quickly, dodging bullets, getting closer and closer to Ripley. Ripley can't seem to hit her. Suddenly, The Bride is close enough to strike a blow with her sword. Ripley is gravely injured, but she barely blinks. How is this possible? Oh yeah, Ripley's a clone. Ripley pulls the trigger on her PN 30 mm pump-action grenade launcher blasting The Bride into a thousand little pieces of red and white confetti raining down on the audience. Ripley wins.

Sarah Connor and Lara Croft meet on the field of battle, but Sarah mistakes Lara and her huge boobs as a terminator (those must be man made, right?) and attempts to learn its mission. Lara, meanwhile, whips out her dual semi-automatic pistols and begins blasting away at Sarah. Unfortunately for Lara, Sarah somehow manages to time travel just before being shot. She reappears minutes later and they must battle again. This continues twelve times until Lara eventually calls for a ruling against "unfair time traveling." The ruling is in her favor. She quickly shoots Sarah in the head ten times. There may or may not be a terminator with orders to kill Lara Croft.

I think Rob makes a good point because the Judd Apatow movies are so big right now and they are pretty crude. I mean, "40 Year Old Virgin" was actually probably the tamest of the big hits. Each one seems to have gone just a little further down the "crude" road. And that kind of shows what I was saying about how we just get desensitized to it and don't even really notice anymore.

Okay, I got a few things.

First of all, if we had seen Ben mess up those two guys in the desert a couple of weeks ago, he might have been a contender for Ultimate Bad Ass.

Secondly, the three people who all got shot back to back to back...was kind of silly. And it still seems odd to me that the characters we watch only care about themselves and each other and couldn't care less about the other people who fall like dominoes apparently.

Thirdly, did anyone think it was funny that Ben had that shotgun in his piano stool the whole time?

Also, shooting Alex in the head was sweet.

I don't remember exactly what Ben said when Sayid asked him how he got of the island, but I'm thinking that his wearing the parka and the polar bear that was found in the desert in a previous episode are probably related. I'm guessing that Ben had to go to a place where it's cold (where the polar bear was at some point) and somehow there's a gateway from there to the desert. Don't know why he was injured.

John McClane and Bruce Lee meet in the ring of death atop a 40 story office building at midnight on Christmas Eve, McClane having chosen the arena. Bruce comes out flying, moving so fast McClane doesn't even see the hands and feet that pummel his face. McClane goes down, but gets back up. He goes down again. He gets back up again. Lee quickly tires of this and proceeds to "finish him" by throwing him off the roof. John, however, is able to grab the railing and leverage his momentum to pull Lee over the edge. McClane hangs on to Lee with one arm. "Yippee-ki-yay, mother------," McClane says with a smile as he releases his hold on Lee. McClane doesn't care how he wins. But he wins.

Bond and Jones meet in a small bar in Calcutta. Bond has arrived early and is leaning against the bar sipping his martini. Jones makes the first move reaching quickly for his pistol. Bond tosses the martini into Jones' eyes and rushes him. An old fashion scuffle ensues. They fight, man to man...until Bond grows tired and pulls out HIS gun and shoots Jones in both knees. Without a word he leaves the bar and walks down the street. He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his cell phone. He dials a number and the bar explodes behind him. Indy's seared and smoking fedora lands at his feet. Bond, after all, has a license to kill.

The two proven warriors meet face to face on a barren, deserted planet, free from any outside distractions (other than the two women who are with Capt. Kirk) or interferences.

Bauer, with little patience, speaks first.

"My name is Jack Bauer, and this is about to be the shortest day of your life."

"Let's take it. Easy. Mr. Bauer. There's no reason. To be. In a hurry. We're badasses. At the top. Of the bracket."

In one swift motion, Jack grabs the girl on Kirk's right arm, spins her around and breaks her neck, killing her instantly. He then pulls out his gun and fires one shot, hitting the girl on Kirk's left arm squarely between the eyes. She falls dead.

"Let's get one thing straight, Captian," Bauer begins in his trademark breathless whisper. "The only reason you're still alive is because there's something I want to know before I kill you...and Star Trek is a damn fine show."

Kirk now realizes the seriousness of the situation. Too late he moves to use the "Jim-Kirk" double fisted hammer move on Jack. Jack has already anticipated this. He grabs Captain Kirk, breaks the hammer fist and then breaks both his thumbs...with one hand.

"Let's. Just. Calm. Down. And think. This through," Kirk suggests slowly.

"The time for thinking is over," Bauer shouts. "I have killed two people since midnight. I haven't slept in over 24 hours. So maybe you should be a little more afraid of me than you are now."

"What is it. That you. Want to know. Mr. Bauer?" Kirk asks.

"I want to know who's going to give me back the money I spent watching Star Trek: Generations"

"What?" Kirk is confused. Jack moves quickly and grabs Kirk in a half nelson like hold putting almost enough pressure on Kirk's arm to break it.

"Are you going to tell me what I want to know, or am I going to have to start hurting you," Jack asks.

"Actually. You're. Hurting. Me. Now." Kirk responds through clinched teeth.

"Trust me, I'm not." Jack replies. With a quick twist, he shows Kirk what pain really feels like by dislocating both of Kirk's shoulders and breaking both of his elbows at the same time.

"IT. WAS. A. GOOD. MOVIE!" Kirk screams.

Now Jack is pissed off.

"Say hello to Harry for me." Jack pushes Kirk to the ground and unloads his gun into the back of his head. Slowly he reaches to the ground and takes something from Kirks pocket. A few quick beeps can be heard as Jack activates the device. "One to beam up, Scotty."

Jack wins.

Han Solo sits at a table in the Mos Eisley awaiting his matchup with the famed Jason Bourne. Having beaten the heavily favored Chuck Norris in the bracket named for him, Solo has won the right to pick the location of this last duel before the finals. Solo has chosen Mos Eisley, a wretched dive of scum and villainy - a place where Solo feels at home - because he knows Bourne will stick out like a sore thumb. Solo is ready for him. His blaster is already drawn under the table, Solo's finger is on the trigger. Greedo met his fate in this very bar. Solo chuckles to himself as he thinks about how he will get the drop on Bourne just as he did Greedo. Some may find this sort of fighting "unfair," but this is, after all, the Quarterfinals of the Ultimate Bad Ass Competition. One can never be too careful. That thought brings to mind another time when Solo was smuggling guns from...

Unfortunately, that was the last thought Solo ever had.

While he was doing all the thinking, Jason Bourne snuck up behind him and put a knife through the back of his neck, severing his spinal cord and killing him instantly. Han Solo's body leaned forward against the table. Jason Bourne was nowhere to be seen.

Due to the stealthy nature of the attack, officials had to watch video footage to make a ruling that it was, in fact, Jason Bourne who had killed Han Solo. Video footage, when slowed down, confirmed the kill. Chewbacca, Han Solo's presumed lookout, was later found tied down in an alley way - his body hair completely shaven.

Jason Bourne wins.

"You B___ch!" the Bride yells. And the battle begins.

The Bride pulls her Hanzo sword and charges, but Lara Croft is too quick and easily leaps out of the way, drawing both her pistols and firing at The Bride at the same time. The Bride is struck in the leg, but she barely notices. Like a Jedi knight she is able to deflect Crofts bullets with her sword as she moves ever closer.

Just as The Bride is within arms length of Lara, her sword absords the impact of one too many bullets and splits in half. Lara, thinking she has the upper hand smiles slyly then points her weapons at the Bride and pulls both triggers. Click. Click. Nothing happens. She is out of the bullets.

It is now hand to hand combat. CAT FIGHT!

The women punch and scream and pull each other's hair. Clothing is ripped and the women begin open handed slapping each other. Bystanders and Bad Ass Contest officials begin dousing the women in exotic oils. A crew from Girls Gone Wild shows up and begins filming "Girls Gone Wild: Bad Ass Broads Brawl Vol 1."

Then, suddenly, The Bride has had enough. Summoning the last of her strength she uses the five-point palm - exploding heart technique on Lara Croft. Croft's heart stops and she falls to the ground dead. The Bride wins.

A couple of things:

I didn't mention in the article that Pineapple Express is Rated-R which is why I think it will have a harder time making the top 10 list. However, I saw this morning that the tracking for Speed Racer isn't very good which means it might not do well either...

The X-Files didn't make my list because the first movie, which came out in 1998 at the height of the TV shows popularity, only grossed $83.9M (adjusted for inflation is $108M). That doesn't give me hope that this film is top ten material. Sadly, Pineapple Express will probably do a lot more.

John McClane studies his face in the mirror of his hotel room. The battle taking place tomorrow doesn't feel right. Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, not Christmas. And he's getting old.

"Well, Johnnie, you better pull yourself together," he says out loud to himself in the mirror. "Tomorrow's a big day. Who is this guy I'm fighting tomorrow anyway?"

"The name is Bond. James Bond." The voice behind him startles McCane, but instincts take over and he immediately drops to the floor as the mirror above him explodes under a hail of bullets. Using his feet he is able to close the door. Bond is somewhere in the hotel room behind him.

"I'm getting too old for this," he says to himself. "Our battle is tomorrow you dumb prick," he yells out. I already bought pay-per-view!" Another round of bullets rips through the thin door. "It's Star Trek: Generations!"

The gunfire stops abruptly. McClane looks around for a weapon but can find nothing but a toilet plunger. There are no windows. He's trapped.

"Oh hell." McClane jumps up and barrels through the door screaming and charging for his gun on the nightstand, fully expecting to run into a wall of bullets. Instead he runs into the wall. There's no one in the room. Quickly he grabs his gun and checks for bullets. It's loaded. But something's not right. Bond had him. Where did he go?

"Come on John, you're a bad ass. Why not be the ultimate bad ass?" John talks to himself as quickly pokes his head out of the door and checks the hallway. Nothing. "It's only a couple of rounds. You're a top seed. Piece of cake. Piece of cake, my ass!" John walks over and cautiously checks out the balcony. Nothing but air and a five story drop to the pool below. He walks back to the center of the room and looks around.

"Would you like to see my license to kill?" The voice comes from behind John. He spins around and fires but there's no one there. John feels his shoulder burn as a bullet rips through his arm.

"What the hell?" John begins shooting around the room indescriminately. For a brief moment he sees a flicker of light by the balcony. He's invisible? Suddenly, John charges towards the balcony. He feels the weight of an invisible body slam into his chest as they both go over the side of the building. Falling. Falling. Into the pool.

"I see you now!" John yells as he pulls Bond up from under the water and begins pummeling his face with his fists. Bond's invisibility cloak no longer works in the pool. He's now at a severe disadvantage as John has been pissed off and is missing his pay-per-view. Bond manages pull out a cyanide tipped pen, but John pries it from his grip before he can use it and shoves it into Bond's eye. "Can you see me now?"

Bond lives just long enough for McClane to force him to inhale two lungs full of water before succumbing to the cyanide.

Well, we know the judges aren't going anywhere. I think the producers definitely should give them some directions, though. If Paula is going to be a judge then she needs to actually say something worthwhile. I don't agree that Randy is better than Simon. I think Simon usually gets it closer to right then Randy does.

Frank, I think you're idea of letting the judges give immunity to one contestant each week would either be really awesome or a total train wreck. I think they'd have to maybe say it couldn't be the same contestant two weeks in a row or something. Plus, it would have to be only one contestant chosen by a vote of all three judges. It would be interesting to see if they'd use it to save their favorite or save the ones they think might be in danger when they shouldn't be for some reason.

I HATE theme weeks - yes, even the decade ones. It's the same problem. It happens every year. They make them sing songs from the 60s then tell them they sound "old-fashioned." I don't see the point. Well, I do because I know they do it for the older audience, but it's still a problem.

They're already talking about doing Idol Gives Back every two years or something (assuming the show keeps going that long). A better idea, but the show still sucks.

I agree that the reality part of the show would be interesting but I know the producers think it's pretty important to shield the contestants from a lot of stuff so I don't know that we'll ever see them hanging out at their apartments or whatever. Still, the little interviews are pretty sorry.

I'd also say to dump the stupid call in questions. It's awful.

Ana and Jina ran pretty neck and neck the whole month before Ana barely passed her up there at the last. I know it's not a contest, but should be exciting to watch. Ana, are you officially AnaDVR now?

We had 16 people with double digit comments and 6 with over a hundred. Thanks to all you who constantly participate and really make this a lot of fun for the rest of us.

He doesn't read all the votes if they don't need to, BUT the order of the votes is already done so that it maximizes the drama. If Amanda had not played the idol, the most dramatic thing would have been to mix the votes up so that it would have been two and two then two for Alexis and three for Amanda with the final vote determining a tie or Amanda's ouster. Since they didn't do it this way they obviously knew that she would play it so they got her votes out of the way and did the dramatic thing and left Alexis' votes till the last.

Normally, I would write a battle scene between the two opposing warriors in this round of the Ultimate Bad Ass contest that would detail how I think a battle between the two might go culminating in a victory by the person I intend to vote for.

Unfortunately, for the battle between Jack Bauer and Jason Bourne I lack the writing skills necessary to convey the true and complete awesomeness that such a battle scene would entail. Therefore, I will not insult either of the competitors with the disservice of an inferior battle scene.

However, despite the fact that both men are incredibly cool and can certainly be considered "Bad Asses," I feel that one of the two men is, in fact, more of an actual "Bad Ass" than the other man. I feel that this man is Jack Bauer.

In support of my statement I offer the following:

Jason Bourne is a formidable opponent for sure. He's a trained CIA assasin capable of killing others and defending himself with whatever happens to be around him including a book (Bourne Ultimatum), a pen (Bourne Identity), a magazine, electrical cord, and a bottle of vodka (Bourne Supremacy). However, he also took three movies, spanning months or years, to solve the biggest problem plaguing him. For much of that time he didn't even know who or what he was. He has skills but he's not even sure what he's capable of.

Jack Bauer, however, knows exactly what he's capable of - anything. Jack can solve any problem or world crises in under 24 hours - without sleep. Jack once let himself get addicted to drugs just so he could infiltrate a drug cartel. Jack has shot and killed an ex-lover, his boss (who he shot in the head execution style), a fellow employee of CTU, and tortured his own brother for the betterment of the country. He's also killed and cut off someone's head just to help him get some information. Jack willingly throws himself at certain death on a daily basis.

You might also consider these facts when considering whether or not Jack Bauer is the Ultimate Bad Ass of all:

1. Most people would need months to recover from 20 months of Chinese interrogation. Jack Bauer needs a shower, a shave and a change of clothes.

2. When 24 airs on the Spanish channel everyones lines are translated except for Jack's. The reason for this, nobody speaks for Jack Bauer.

3. Jack Bauer once showed up late for work. CTU adjusted their clocks accordingly.

4. On Jack Bauer's Tax Returns, he has to claim the entire world as his dependents.

5. When bad things happen to good people, its probably fate (might even be Jason Bourne). When bad things happen to bad people, itÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s probably Jack Bauer.

6. On a high school math test, Jack Bauer put down "Violence" as every one of the answers. He got an A+ on the test because Jack Bauer solves all his problems with Violence.

7. Jack Bauer broke into the Russian Consulate and got captured because he thought it would be fun to compare Russian prisons with Chinese prisons.

8. Jack Bauer always tests positive for steroids. Not that he uses steroids. It's because steroids are made from Jack Bauer.

9. Jack Bauers calender goes from March 31st to April 2nd, no one fools Jack Bauer.

10. Jack Bauer doesn't laugh in the face of danger; Jack Bauer is the face of danger.

11. Jack Bauer once won a game of Connect 4 in 3 moves.

12. Jack Bauer doesn't have a firewall on his PC. He has a Bauerwall. It's basically just a JPEG of Jack Bauer. No virus has ever attacked Jack Bauer's PC. Ever.

13. The state of California plans to reduce violent crime by changing the method of capital punishment from lethal injection to Jack Bauer.

14. The Berlin Wall fell because Jack Bauer needed to get to the other side.

15. When life gave Jack Bauer lemons, he used them to kill terrorists. Jack Bauer hates lemonade.

16. If you wake up in the morning, it's because Jack Bauer spared your life.

17. If Jack Bauer's gun jams, it's because he wanted to beat you with it.

18. A standard deck now contains 48 cards. Too many people were getting hurt for trying to play Jack.

19. Jack Bauer played Russian Roulette with a fully loaded gun and won.

20. Bauer is not word, it is a sentence...A death sentence.

In conclusion, Jack Bauer IS the Ultimate Bad Ass. Maybe someday, if Jason Bourne will learn to react more and think less he will become the Ultimate Bad Ass. Until then, the vote must go to Jack.

Yeah, I don't really question Fox's decision to pay him enough to keep him on board. It's a numbers game and they obviously feel like he's worth it. That's just good business.

I'm deeply saddened by the fact that MacFarlane's work makes so much more money than other people's work, though, since I don't really consider it all that good. Just my opinion, I guess. I used to think Family Guy was amusing but the constant and pointless attacks on religion just got to be too much. He really seems to have a chip on his shoulder about Christianity.

Political correctness is stupid. But so is insulting people for no other reason than for cheap laughs. That's not breaking down barriers - that's whoring yourself out.

Some of MacFarlane's stuff is genuinely funny, but some of it is genuinely insulting and without merit. I mean, he literally puts little swipes in at people or religion that aren't funny and just come across as petty and mean. I don't see the point.

I think the premise of the show is promising, but, again, it's on Fox which is one problem. I'm also not a big fan of Eliza Dushku, although I think she may do well in this role. I like Helo from BSG, though, so that's a plus. I'll definitely be watching this when it premieres.

@Amy - I've said, many, many times that I think David A has a wonderful voice and can sing quite well. However, I don't think he's exhibited much growth, for the most part, throughout this competition. I think he's been able to rely on a solid fan base that votes for him no matter what. He's often chosen songs that were corny and did nothing to prove his skills - in short, I think he's skated by instead of really pushing himself. I do not agree that there are a bunch of 20+ year olds sitting around all over the country waiting for David to release an album. It may be the case in your college within your group of friends, but I somehow seriously doubt that's a national phenomenon we'd see repeated in multiple cities. David's appeal is to a younger crowd of mostly females. There's nothing wrong with that. That's just what it is.

While I love The Office I actually think this is really sad news. Psych is one of the funniest shows on TV. I was really hoping people would give it a shot and see how funny it is. I guess it's one of those shows that people don't think they'll like, but I absolutely promise that it is week after week consistently funny.

@Jina - I don't know what episode was on or anything so I couldn't say. Dule Hill's character is sort of a hyperactive character so it does tend to seem like he's overacting sometimes, but once you get into the character it works really well (think Tracy Morgan on 30 Rock, but less).

I would never steer you guys wrong. Very funny. Laugh out loud funny almost every week. Maybe you have to start at the beginning...oohhh...sounds like a project for Mike...

Downtown New York was thrown into chaos yesterday evening when a "bride" and a New York City cop began battling on a street corner. It was not immediately clear what started the disagreement, but onlookers watched in horror as the scene became a bloodbath. The so-called "Bride" brandished a sword and began hacking and slashing her way through crowds as New York City police officer John McClain chased after her firing an automatic weapon of some kind.

The chase ended on a street corner where the Bride turned and faced down the officer who had run out of ammunition during the chase. At one point the officer appeared to be wounded by the sword wielding bride, but the fight continued unabated.

According to witnesses at the scene, Officer McClain was able to disarm the suspect by dowsing her with hot water from a hot dog cart. Temporarily blinded by the scalding water, the officer is said to have forced the Bride into oncoming traffic. The witnesses reported hearing Officer McClain yell "Need a lift?" just before the Bride was struck by a rush hour bus. The force of the impact flung the Jane Doe Bride nearly 100 yards, decapitating her on a bike rack.

Officer McClain is being held for questioning.

I think Jina is probably right although I'm not really sure why he's taken such a beating. His Scientology views are no more wacky than a lot of other Hollywood stars' religious beliefs and until recently he's made pretty good movies. I don't know. I'm starting to lean towards a repeated timeline type scenario where everything has happened before and certain people are privy to that information and are trying to change little things in the timeline to cause some bigger change.

It makes sense when you think about people saying how they "weren't supposed to leave the island" or Ben saying that Jack wasn't supposed to do something. The rules that Ben spoke about between him and Widmore could be agreed upon because breaking those rules would change the timeline too much.

In last night's episode we could have seen an example of this knowledge being used in the information that was in the safe. Keamy said it was information on where Ben would be - information Widmore could have had if he was privy to the first timeline somehow...

That's all I've got right now.

Well, I put the movie in my top ten for the summer and I still think it'll end up there. What we have to realize is that what we think and what we hear isn't necessarily everything that's being said or talked about.

If I had financed the film I would be somewhat concerned over the negative buzz in the media and online, but there are a lot of grade school and junior high kids who are excited to see this movie and bad reviews, illogical plots, and negative buzz won't keep them from seeing the movie.

I think Michael's probably right about it doing a lot of business this weekend although Iron Man is bound to show some good legs. It's the upcoming weeks that will be hard on Speed Racer and may end up causing the film to be labeled "disappointing." I don't think it'll be a flop - certainly not in worldwide grosses.

@Kory - Yeah, Two and a Half Men seems to fly under the radar somehow with the stuff they put on the air. It's a funny show but sometimes they storylines are too much even for me. For those who don't watch it, one recent story centered around one of the "men" spending the whole episode hiring and being with a prostitute. Needless to say, the behavior was not considered bad nor was it discouraged in any way (actually, encouraged would be more accurate). Not exactly family viewing.

People keep saying that it'll be bad for David Cook if he wins because they'll make him do a stupid pop album or something, but I really don't think the producers are that stupid. I think they'll do with him the same thing that was done with Daughtry and he'll go on to sell a couple million albums easy.

Well, like I mentioned in my last article, I don't think Cook is going to be hurt by winning. I think the producers are smart enough by now (especially after seeing what happened with Daughtry) to know that they can't just force someone to sing crappy pop ballads and expect to have a hit artist.

I think if Cook wins they'll do exactly the same thing they'll do if he loses. They'll put together a band for him and follow the lead that Daughtry has already established. Win or lose he'll sell the same number of records.

That video is pretty awesome in that it tells us quite a bit about what could possibly be happening. The scientist mentions that the island has a "natural Casimir effect." If you check out Wikipedia you'll see that this Casimir effect could explain the time traveling elements of the show because the Casimir effect can be used to produce a locally mass-negative region of space-time which could be used to stabilize a wormhole... I think we see the rabbit as a demonstration of the time traveling in the video.

It was a cool episode too. Of course, being just the first part of a three parter it seems like it was just getting started when it was ending. Can't wait for the finale.

I just don't know if I trust all the bad buzz. Speed Racer, yeah, okay. But I think George Lucas had a legitimate point when he said that people were going to dump on Indy no matter what kind of movie they made. For whatever reason, there's always a backlash on certain movies before they come out. It didn't used to be so bad, but the internet has really enhanced the negative effect of this sort of "buzz." I don't know if Indy and The Happening will be good or not, but I'm always hesitant to believe the early reports that come out and say that something is really bad...besides, Shyamalan definitely has haters.

Okay, well, this is mostly for the Cap'n, but Ana and I finally got to see Iron Man. I gotta say, it was really good. I have to agree with those who put it up there as one of the best superhero movies ever. It had its little flaws, but I'm more than willing to forgive a few little things in order to enjoy a superhero movie.

Looks like I won't be asking for my money back. It's too bad too, we bought a $4 drink...

By the way, I think Ana enjoyed it more than I did. She was cheering and clapping and telling people to stay after the movie ended. I think we've created a monster!

Seriously, though, I think watching it on DVD for the first time was a far superior experience to watching it on HBO and having to wait a week in between episodes. I saw the whole series over the course of about three nights and it's something that stayed with me for a long time. The book was incredible as well.

Well, you'd have a couple of problems with a reboot scenario. One would be the obvious fact that they've already aged the character.

The biggest problem, however, would be George Lucas. The man made them wait 19 years to make another movie because he refused to do any story except the one he wanted to do. I hardly think he's going to be open to rebooting the franchise with a new actor. None of them need the money so there just wouldn't be anything in it for them.

That's true, Robert, but Obi-Wan started as old and not as a younger character which Indy did with Harrison Ford. Ford has now played him from younger to older and to put someone else in the role somewhere inbetween would seem odd.

Maybe if they went back prior to the first movies and did Young Indiana Jones movies, but that never really caught on before so I don't know.

SYTYCD is definitely an addictive show. I think it gets much better once it gets to the actual competition. I think you get to know the contestants more on this show than you do on American Idol too, but that might just be me. I still forget most of them after the season ends.

Yeah, sorry, I stand by my statements. I have plenty of friends who think he's great and I've heard the arguments, but I don't get it. I've seen all the movies and his filmmaking is mediocre at best. His dialog writing skills is unique, but I can't say he's good. His characters tend to talk in a way that no real person ever would, and, like I mentioned, they usually say thinks that are just disgusting. Unless you want to say Dogma is some sort of statement about the Catholic church or religion in general I don't even think he really has anything valuable to say - or at least, he hasn't said it yet. I don't really find his brand of humor amusing.

That's just my opinion, of course.

I don't know. I think he's kind of right about it being a crappy ending for the storyline (the racist stuff is stupid). I mean, if you remember those episodes where they concentrated on him and Walt early in the show it was building up to be a big deal and then they just sort of forgot all about it. That sort of "sweeping under the rug" is my biggest complaint about Lost and the one thing I think that keeps it from being a truly great series. There's a lot of little things that they've introduced or built towards and then just did away with that doesn't make sense. I think he's right about his story being one of them.

@Mike - I probably should have worded my comment a little better. I wasn't trying to say that Lost isn't "great" simply that I feel there are a few little things that keep it from being "truly great" as in the best it could possibly be. Of course, it isn't over yet, so I'm not ready to crown it anything at this juncture. It could tie up everything in a pretty little bow that makes me eat all of my words or it could end with the dumbest explanation we've ever heard of.

@All - I think Harold has a right to be a little miffed. I don't think he's taking it too far. Questions were asked and questions were answered. They kept the guy on the fence about whether or not he even had a job for over a season and then they bring him back and get his hopes up that he's going to be a part of the family again and that his character will matter only to kill him off without giving his character any kind of closure. I think he has some good points. Now, if he keeps complaining about it over and over for days and weeks on end...then I would be more inclined to say it's just sour grapes.

I don't think you should use the first Hulk as a basis for whether or not you're going to see this one. There's so much that's completely different about the productions that I don't think it would be a fair comparison.

I think this one will be a lot more like Iron Man and a lot less like the first Hulk - if that helps.

Concerning the return of Jericho - I got some hate on the JerichoNet forum for my comment that it's gone for good... Now, I don't want to jump on anyone, but I definitely did my part to try to save the show. When it was canceled the first time I wrote the letters and blog posts and did all the campaigning and was often linked to from the very same type of people who are still trying to save the show. However...

At some point you have to face reality. The show isn't coming back. Not at this point. Half the cast is taking jobs elsewhere. I would LOVE to have the show come back but it's just not going to happen. I'm sorry you guys are mad at reality.

Although I enjoyed Netflix and always got a quick turnaround here in Austin, I get the same turnaround from Blockbuster...actually better because I drop the movies off at the store on my way home from work and they are checked in right then as if they had already been through the mail and received at the distribution plant. Blockbuster then sends me my movies the next morning or the same day if I go by Blockbuster earlier in the day. Plus, I get five in-store trade-ins a month which I can watch while I'm waiting for my movies to come in the mail. If that's not enough movies, I can rent movies at half price. It's a lot of movies.

I have to give the edge to Blockbuster due to the in-store dropoff and trade-in.

Every preview I see on this film makes it look more awesome than the last (although the Russian trailer was pretty freaking sweet). The only thing that will stop this movie from being a huge hit is the fact that it opens against Wall-E. Heck, even I want to see Wall-E.

I agree with what you guys are saying. I think it's fine for Olive Stone to make whatever kind of movie he wants - even making fun of the way Bush speaks if he so desires. If he can raise the money to make it, he has that right in America.

The problem I have with him is his earlier assertion that the film would be a fair portrayal and then the first piece of marketing material he releases is so obviously skewed to the Bush hating crowd it could almost be a campaign poster for the Democrats.

I also take exception to what is on the poster. I know that Bush spoke the words. I know that he's said a LOT of silly and ridiculous things over the years. Then again, all Presidents and politicians have said stupid things if they've been doing it very long. These people speak for a living and they do a LOT of talking. There's no way they aren't going to trip over their words at some point. You could probably find similar quotes for almost anyone. Clinton was known to say a few crazy things in his time (what is the definition of the word "is"?).

The fact is, however, that no person could ever achieve the position of President of the United States and be the complete moron that people like Stone seem to think Bush is. It's just not possible. I think it's absurd and demeaning to the office of the Presidency and our nation to imply or portray an imbecile somehow "accidentally" becoming President.

It offends me.

I just finished reading Angels & Demons and am currently reading Building Harlequin's Moon<img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=jasonaclarkco-20&l=ur2&o=1" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;"> by Larry Niven and Brenda Cooper.

I wasn't crazy about Angels & Demons. Building Harlequin's Moon started off slow, but is starting to get pretty good. I almost always like Larry Niven's stuff.</img>

Man, I can't believe Kelli Baker didn't make it. I can't believe I missed the show.

I'm glad Courtney Galiano made it. I really liked her in her first audition.

I'm not a big fan of contemporary dance. I'm thinking some of these guys are going to have a hard time with some of the stuff they're asked to do later on. It should be fun to watch.

Man, I gotta say, this was a really hard show to get in to. Granted I had a one year old crawling around and periodically crying about something and I was fighting off sleep, but they were losing me within the first five minutes. I didn't think they did a very good job of explaining the separate universes or I just missed some important details.

I want to like it and get in to it, but I hope the next episode is easier to follow.

I just reread my article and nowhere in it did I say anything about the movie being bad. I said it "doesn't appeal to me," and I said it was a "stupid sounding" movie.

I then went on to say "I don’t know what you’d call this. Maybe it’ll be better than it sounds."

I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I'm getting dumped on and I didn't even say the movie was bad. It SOUNDS kind of dumb. It's a movie about a bunch of singing chihuahuas. Just not my thing.

But I'd also like to point out that I published a follow-up article in which I said I could see why some people would want to watch it and I guaranteed it would make more money than Speed Racer.

I think I've been fair to both sides of the chihuahua debate.

I found your email to be offensive and rude. I have no intentions of being lured into a private argument with someone (which is what you were doing) or allow someone to be rude without responding to the comment.

I think too many people think they can hide behind the anonymity of the internet and do or say whatever they want and think they won't get called out for it. I called you out.

If you have something to say to us you should say it in the public forum where everyone can see how rude and obnoxious you are and not in private. Have some guts to stand behind the statements you make.

I don't give a crap if your girlfriend is in the movie or not. Telling me to "shut the hell up" and then calling us "wise asses" was completely uncalled for. As I've already pointed out, there is another article where I mention the more positive aspects of this film - where I said it would probably do really well.

If you had taken just a moment of your time to actually look at the other article and see what else I had to say before firing off such an impudent email to someone you don't even know, you could have saved yourself the embarrassment of looking so foolish and ignorant.

The regular people who comment here at Pop Critics are neither rude nor defensive. Most know that they are free to speak their minds and say whatever they care to say...as long as they do it with respect to others.

It's fine if you or anyone else wants to debate the merits (or potential merits) of a film such as Beverly Hills Chihuahua. We look forward to and encourage open discussion and dialog no matter what the opinion. However, one should be prepared to back up their opinions with sound logic and reasoning and they shouldn't expect courtesy from others when they resort to name calling and impolite behavior.

You seem like an intelligent person who is capable of presenting your case far better than you did in the email you sent.
