Prior to the movie coming out we didn't know it wasn't acid. It was just assumed by the way the liquid, we thought, ate away at his face. We know now that it was gasoline and fire.

Dexter and Eureka are both still going.

He was in the "Ocean" movies too. You've probably seen him a bunch of times and not even realized it.

The comment that's up on that site from me is the first one I made (well, first two). I made another where I pointed out how libelous his completely fabricated Morgan Freeman quotes were and how he could actually be sued for posting something like that, but I guess he didn't want to let me say that.

Man, you guys have to check out this article I ran across. You can find it here. This guy is kinda nuts.

The regular people who comment here at Pop Critics are neither rude nor defensive. Most know that they are free to speak their minds and say whatever they care to say...as long as they do it with respect to others.

It's fine if you or anyone else wants to debate the merits (or potential merits) of a film such as Beverly Hills Chihuahua. We look forward to and encourage open discussion and dialog no matter what the opinion. However, one should be prepared to back up their opinions with sound logic and reasoning and they shouldn't expect courtesy from others when they resort to name calling and impolite behavior.

You seem like an intelligent person who is capable of presenting your case far better than you did in the email you sent.

I hope you decide to stick around and contribute your opinions.

I'm still completely amazed that so many people are pissed off about what we have to say about a movie starring singing chihuahuas...

@mse - I agree that posting your email address wasn't the most professional thing to do so I have removed it as requested. However, I have left the content of your message.

I found your email to be offensive and rude. I have no intentions of being lured into a private argument with someone (which is what you were doing) or allow someone to be rude without responding to the comment.

I think too many people think they can hide behind the anonymity of the internet and do or say whatever they want and think they won't get called out for it. I called you out.

If you have something to say to us you should say it in the public forum where everyone can see how rude and obnoxious you are and not in private. Have some guts to stand behind the statements you make.

I don't give a crap if your girlfriend is in the movie or not. Telling me to "shut the hell up" and then calling us "wise asses" was completely uncalled for. As I've already pointed out, there is another article where I mention the more positive aspects of this film - where I said it would probably do really well.

If you had taken just a moment of your time to actually look at the other article and see what else I had to say before firing off such an impudent email to someone you don't even know, you could have saved yourself the embarrassment of looking so foolish and ignorant.

Well, 20 years ago the internet was like three scientists and a couple of lab techs talking about cloning chihuahuas or something.

I'm just surprised this little post has gotten 40 comments. I never cease to be amazed.

I just reread my article and nowhere in it did I say anything about the movie being bad. I said it "doesn't appeal to me," and I said it was a "stupid sounding" movie.

I then went on to say "I don’t know what you’d call this. Maybe it’ll be better than it sounds."

I'm not trying to be argumentative, but I'm getting dumped on and I didn't even say the movie was bad. It SOUNDS kind of dumb. It's a movie about a bunch of singing chihuahuas. Just not my thing.

But I'd also like to point out that I published a follow-up article in which I said I could see why some people would want to watch it and I guaranteed it would make more money than Speed Racer.

I think I've been fair to both sides of the chihuahua debate.

@mse & Pyramid head - Thanks for the sound advice. I wasn't planning on going. You guys do realize that the name of our website is called Pop Critics, right? I mean, this is what we do.

If you don't like us criticizing something maybe you are the ones who should go somewhere else. We're all free to speak our minds here.

Sorry, we're still using it. It seems to work pretty well for most of us...those of us who aren't apes anyway.

Yet the Hulk was played by a man in the television series and most fans seem to think Lou Ferrigno's depiction of him is the one that all others should be measured by - hence the excitement of Ferrigno's involvement in this movie.

@TheCaptain - You're nothing like the Cap'n... It does sound like you need a hug.

@RickG - What's all this about massive amounts of the US treasury being put into the hands of the people who put Bush into office? I voted for him and I barely got any of that money... Sounds like you could use a hug too. Have you met TheCaptain?

Well, I'm not exactly holding my breath...

Man, I gotta say, this was a really hard show to get in to. Granted I had a one year old crawling around and periodically crying about something and I was fighting off sleep, but they were losing me within the first five minutes. I didn't think they did a very good job of explaining the separate universes or I just missed some important details.

I want to like it and get in to it, but I hope the next episode is easier to follow.

Well, I think my point was that the book was so disappointing that the movie was bound to be better.
