in Perfspot.com - Something Old, Nothing New, Very Borrowed, Left me Blue on The Knight Knetwork
In the end, all social networking sites come down to is preference. After having read your entries it's pretty clear that you didn't really take the time to go through the site. The things that "Superman" mentioned are true, and while it does have a slew of other features that myspace doesn't, and a few features that facebook doesn't, don't be surprised if not every social network you run into isn't trying to attack you with "brand new angles" on all the the same crap that we already know works as it is.
The idea is to mingle on a social networking site. Think of it like a club. You chose your club, and stick with it. If you've got some smarts? Maybe you'll pick more than one club. Perfspot has a pretty sweet community and there are alot of things you can do on there to kill time, with thier sweet games section, blogs, and the ease of making friends.
Not to say that your opinion is completely farce, this post is relatively old and they've made a whole sweep of changes in the past few months you probably never had the opportunity to see or know about at the time of this post.
Bottomline: Don't judge a book by it's cover. It's clear you took one look at the site, shuffled your feet around a little bit, and decided you knew all there is to know on the subject, or at least enough to try and educate other readers.
Watching the first couple of minutes of the Matrix might make you think it's just another kick-about office movie too, y'know.
