I think it gets even better than that. If many of the video streams are hosted on the same domain, a user can bookmark different people he wants to watch, and then possibly watch multiple streams at the same time. Users can build communities based on who they watch and reccomend other people.

Honestly, I'm so sick of hearing that hulu is in private beta. Most people don't know this but yahoo was also part of the deal and look! They're in production! For everyone!

These tv pages are (imho) much cleaner than the Hulu pages, and the player is slicker.

It's appropriate with the theme of the year. I am somewhat opposed to it, only because I hate those awkward events where everyone feels compelled to stare at their phones because they have nothing worthwhile to say or do. Given that the cell service is still quite limited, we are still a few years away (hopefully it'll never happen) from Burning Man turning into one of those events.
