in BlackNotes - E-Ticket & ID Required to fly in SA on BlackNotes
U wanna know why they don't accept drivers licence as a form of identification? Cause the idiotic traffic department do not print your full name on the licence and therefore it cannot be used as a positive identification.

So blame the pigs!

Wezz Yeah I cannot beleive the traffic department never printed full names from the beginning, it makes no sense to keep both an ID book and drivers license. Damn pigs!

in The case of DataPro and the Twitter on Paul Jacobson
Looks like we both had some real issues with ISP's the last couple of days, and both Datapro and MWeb seemed to have responded.

It does look like these big 'ol corporates are starting to get the hang of this whole web 2.0 movement where everyone these days has a voice on the internet!

in Ananzi (the largest search engine??) now optimising for Google… on thescott
Ananzi are a joke. They issued a press release about a month after Mango Airlines was launched saying they where received over 400 searches for Mango Airlines.

One of my humble blogs was getting 400 hits a DAY for "Mango Airlines" from Google, MSN and the likes in the same time period.

Spam? Oh yes!

in Windows Internet Explorer for Mac - Finally! on Justin Hartman
Public at large? Wogan, the public at large are IE users. More than 80% of them, thus the need for developers to test in IE6 and IE7.

Obviously Mac users are not really interested in IE, but as I said, web developers need to test for it, so this is a great implementation just for that!

Bleh. Seems that I had jumped on the bandwagon early, and they hadn't put that geographical check in place.

I'm locked out now. Freaks.

Learning and documenting my Ruby on Rails progress is something on my to-do list. Great to see you have taken the jump, as well as deciding to post your progress on how you'll get Ruby running on Rails.
