Why is everyone so ga-ga over this article? For as interesting a writer as Taibbi is ... there is little substance in this article. There is almost nothing in the way of serious analysis to back up his thesis. His thesis may be accurate, but no discerning person could reach that conclusion from reading the article.

I guess I'm not discerning. What's your conclusion ? Exemption from position limits in the futures markets along with classifying their commodities arm as a hedger rather than a speculator doesn't pass the smell test. While you are at it take a look at what Goldman did to SemGroup. The only serious analysis you need is the crude oil chart for the past 18 months. Goldman wasn't alone, but how is it that one firm comes out on top almost all of the time ? I don't buy the best and the brightest myth. The fix is in.

jkip, uh, let's think this through a bit, shall we? The "I'm a Mac" ads don't advertise on price. Apple uses quality and value as its unique selling proposition. In fact, a recent "I'm a Mac" ad poked "PC" on the notion of what cheapness can buy.

Has anyone pointed out the hypocrisy of a "loyal crewperson" trying to grab attention or internet notoriety by writing something like this? At least everyone else (except for "woodsprite") has the loyalty to legitemately keep their mouths shut.

Exactly...especially revealing plot points. Its one thing to tip your hat to loyal fans but this letter goes beyond that. its a good way to break NDA and never work again. Hopefully this "crew member" realizes the repercussions a post like this can have on his career

The Napoletana certification means nothing. Tutta Bella has it and IMO their pizza is garbage. Every pizza I've had from them (only a few before we stopped going back) was thrown together like slop and undercooked, not to mention overpriced. I once ordered prosciutto on one of the pizzas and it was so bad I had to pick it off the pizza before eating it.
Pagliacci's margherita pizza, when done right ... it varies, is one of the best pizzas you can get in Seattle...again IMO. Via Trib in Capitol Hill and Queen Anne are also very good. The Fremont location sucks.

I'm all for a girl looking however she wants to look - fat, skinny, jeans and a tee or teatime dress. But when magazines start plastering the photos of post-weight loss celebs with the phrase "FREE AT LAST", I get angry. What, is being fat akin to slavery? Am I in bondage and servitude to the fat until I lose 40 lbs?? Fuck that.
