Sad, sad, sad. He's one of my favourite Loire winemakers. Kind of reminds me (and I do not wish to see the same result here) of Joguet selling his state...

Dear Ryan,

This is a good idea. Gerry's thoughts about the date are worth considering. I would be glad to participate and help in organizing the event if needed, as I live not far from Rioja.

Ryan,

Ten en cuenta el efecto de una "bomba Google" a raíz de los recientes cambios en los algoritmos de búsqueda de Google.

Please consider the "google bombing" impact as a result of the recent changes in Google's search policies.

Yours sincerely,

in Dominio Dostares, 2006 Tombú on Catavino
I had the chance to taste all the wines from Dominio Dostares a week ago with Mario Rico, from the winery. I liked this Tombú although I found it a bit overpowered by its alcohol; great acidity, though, what compensates for some of the alcohol. As it's their first vintage of this wine, I'm sure they will work on this issue in the future.

The other wines they are making with Prieto Picudo are very promising: Estay and Cumal.

And, above all, I loved the Lusco do Miño Pazo Piñeiro 2005, from Rias Baixas, made from Albariño grapes. An albariño that is at the top three of the region IMHO.

Keep the good work,

Congratulations for the vidcasts.

Just two comments on the Tombú Video:
- the web site URl is www.dominiodostares.com, and not what appears as subtitle
- Bierzo is not located in Galicia, but in Castilla León which is a different region. Near to Galicia, but not IN Galicia.

Regards.

in Bodega Artadi-Cosecheros-Alaveses on Catavino
Artadi Rioja wines are great, but IMHO what really speaks out about Artadi´s talent is its ability to make grat wines in other regions across Spain and in joint Venture with other producers.

For instance, Artadi's project in Navarra (Artazu) is a good example of what garnacha (grenache) old vines can give in Spain.

I also like Bodegas y Viñedos el Sequé, the joint venture with Agapito Rico (producer from Jumilla) that produces impressive wines ("Laderas del Seque" and "El Seque") at unbelieveable prices. Those are 100% Monastrell (Mourvèdre in France) wines.

Congratulations for your blog,

SobreVino
