Hey Mark Hayward, fancy meeting you here!

Thank you so much for this brilliant post. There is such wisdom here... for introverts and extroverts alike. (I tend to be an extrovert online where words are my friends, but can be overwhelmed at conferences.)

Very nice post. Applying these tips will avoid post-conference regrets!

Hey, I missed tonight's but made the last two. What a blessing it has been. I've already invited my neighbor to lifechurch.tv and she's definitely curious. Her husband is starting to listen to Greg Laurie on the radio and is sprouting interest in God things. This is so awesome.

Great post, as usual, Chris. As a fellow Connector X (can I get a supersuit and cape?)I absolutely appreciate these tips.

Of course it is not a new idea; we just have funner toys to facilitate what we've been doing all along.

Up, up and away!

in Workflow - Social Media Pastor on Chris Brogan
As the Bible teacher for the moms group at Sandals Church, I've seen the ways social media have forged us together. We post weekly homework, share prayer requests, announce practical needs and post crazy pictures of our kids for each other. Many of us blog after the kids are down and it helps us keep up on each others' lives and know how to love each other better.

My core prayer team gets regular "Hay-elp!" txt msgs from me throughout the week when I need strength. I also tweet a running commentary of "God moments" when they happen. Social media is about connecting the highs and the lows.

I want my group to know I'm human during the week and just yelled at my kids (yet again) and need their prayers. I believe my church's motto "Being real with ourselves, others and God" and communicating with the tools out there helps me align my life with these core values.

I love this stuff. Its just another way that God connects his body.

should read "... our of the 8 words i actually know in the korean language..."

(yikes, my grammar sounds like english is my second language. ouch that hurt my eyes to read it)

i was going to say something cheesy like "first class for a first class guy" but i won't. i'll just think it.

i'll miss you and your "kee do" tatoo. although my korean was rusty, i couldn't believe i could read your arm ... funny how out of the 8 words i actually know in the korean, the language of my father, "pray" is one of them. and i saw it on your arm the first month we came to sandals (last year). i knew then and there that i liked that crazy bald worship guy.

i will pray for your family's transition and for your new adventure.

i must be totally missing the connection you're making between not enjoying hugging and being negative about one's kids / kids in general and raining on another parent's optimism (which is just kinda rude).

i'm married to a total non-hugger (common introvert thing that we extroverts tend to misunderstand) who adores his kids and would never try to squelch another parent's infatuation with their kids.

sounds like you just met a crabby non-hugger. they're not all that bad.

i've only known the salley family a brief time, mainly because our kindergarten boys are friends. i was so encouraged and blessed to see her share so openly how being at sandals has helped her be more real with God, herself and others. i admired nancy before, and her clip confirmed it.

my family has been attending for a mere 4 months, but God has done amazing things in this brief time. we've been challenged every single week by matt's sermons... our tithing has changed, our concern for those who don't know God has changed and our small group night is the best night of the week. i'm enjoying sin less and people more.

God is here and is working.
